Not sure how this particular lady would be the only one privy to that knowledge lol. But I suppose it is plausible. Maybe this is why he wants to sell the house in Cabo. But again there's obviously no proof that he has bought this penthouse.

Maybe Columbia wants Amal full-time, so they've got to have a place in NYC to live.

I don't know anything about this but if it's true it may very well be for the reason melbert mentioned. Columbia may want Amal back for a semester, part of the year as a visiting lecturer.

I always thought George owned the apartment they stay in since it is in a coop building attached to the hotel. Maybe they need more space.

Yep, so did I. Not sure I believe this. Seems a bit out of character in a way. Many huge names have places there - the Bradys, Murdoch (who originally bought four floors, but has since sold three of them)

Well, NYC is more convenient to hop back and forth to London than is L.A. If they're really going to be a dual country couple who spends no more than a week apart, this will certainly make the travel less time-consuming.
