Monty Don's Italian Gardens - BBC2 UK

Monty's starting off in Rome tonight but showed clips of him from some of the other programmes...one of him on Lake Como going past Mr Clooney's house.

On the advertising blurb it said that he'd be "pointing out Clooney's garden". I wasn't sure if that meant he'd wave vaguely in the right direction while going past on a boat, or if he'd actually be in the garden.

I'm guessing he won't be going inside, right?

So is this going to end up on YouTube so us Yanks can see it?

Probably not sounds like they will just be looking over the wall. George isn't exactly a keen garden type who would be the sort to take people for a walk around his pride and joy. Now if it was about motorbikes!

He was on a boat and the guide said...that's Mr Clooney's villa and Monty said...I can see why he lives here....

That's probably it LOL....I just like gardening programmes/programmes about Italy/programmes featuring places I've been to (Rome/Florence/Lake Como)...so I'll enjoy it anyway...the George connection is just an nice little extra..

Yeps I saw it too, good programme. And yeah George and flowers, tsss, ... . He should get a gardener !!!

I saw that that as well, and it seemed to me that Monty might get a bit more mileage out of Gee's garden. He did say they would be exploring the rich & famous's gardens, so you never know. I did pause the HDD at that spot trying to work out how Gee can have "birds" ( and yes I do mean feathered ones!!) travelling through his bedroom, given that the villa is 4 storeys high? Does he have a bedroom at the back where the land is lower?? The pool must be at the back as well?

I think the pool is at the back...towards the lake and he had a family of ducks wandering around....

Yeps, saw it too, Branson also has a house at lake Como.

What a let down ladies!!! At the very least they could have peeked over the wall!! But at least we can bunk up with Dickie Branson should there not be enough room at Gee's!!!!
