South Sudan Food Crisis worst in world - UN Empty Re: South Sudan Food Crisis worst in world - UN

Post by LizzyNY Sat 26 Jul 2014, 22:50

I just recieved a letter from the International Rescue Committee about South Sudan. Not only are they facing starvation, but malaria, diarrhea and pneumonia are affecting huge numbers of children - often proving fatal. Compounding the problem is the lack of access to medical care and a lack of paved roads that makes delivery of food and medical supplies very difficult. If anyone is able to donate to any of the aid organisations working in the area, please do so. The situation is desperate.
