Just to clarify I never once said she wants him to sell his home. I said she doesn't like his home!    Nor did I say she wants George to get rid of Einstein!!!    I said she can't stand Einstein or his poop!! Forgot the poop part, seems it isn"t picked up fast enough for her :-)

I have not written in proper English 'cause as you know not' my language but if you want an explanation I say that if George aged 53 behaves well ', as stated on the gossip, with a woman and' a clear sign that ' freaked out thing common among men over 50! but I believe that at least 50% of what 'we read, and' completely fabricated. Look, I think we are past the preliminary parts here. And now before the good stuff there is a threat he´ll be left in the cold with blue balls and the dreaded lets-just-be-friends- instead- of- married- couple -speech. He has to please her. Do all that and more. No alternatives.   

Yes exactly. If this news is true, I wont be surprise if he would do anything possible to please her.

Ok if I get this correctly - you're saying that George is behaving well or perhaps differently with this woman. It's a clear sign that he's freaked out - meaning he's having a mid-life crisis which is common among men over 50. Okay get that part.

Believe only 50% of what you read the rest is fabricated. I say believe only 10% of what you read. :-)

The last past is still a bit iffy for me. To love and not need to fuck the life. You can be in love without changing your life so drastically? Is that what you mean? Like Joanna just trying to get what you're saying.

I agree if that's what you mean by the way. You can be in love with someone without having to change your entire life for them. And if and for me that's a big IF, she is trying to make him change his life to suit him then I don't think this would last. Eventually he would come to resent her.

Hey, wouldn't it be a hoot if George himself was spreading all of these stories. I believe he is in love (or in love by his definition) plans to marry Amal. But the rest, is up for grabs. Maybe the someone/source is the man himself. Remember the big story before the engagement, that he was buying another home in Italy ( around April Fool's day). There was a photo issues and posted on COH ( can't recall which thread it's on, but the place looked like an adobe hut in New Mexico from some of the shots). Who else could make some of these stories sound fairly believable ( Sept wedding, had to propose twice, trip to Downton Abbey). And speaking of Downton, the press really is taking the Sept date as gospel.

If they really want to keep the wedding private, they should just let the media run with the September at Downton Abbey story and then get married somewhere else the same day with NO publicity.

If even half the stories about him doing anything and everything to please her are true, I find it really disturbing. What is he afraid of? If he still, at this point, thinks he might lose her there's something wrong with their relationship. No one should be so insecure about the feelings of the person they are going to marry.

When men are in love they do the most unlikely things, so nothing would surprise me really. I don't however believe that Amal is dictacting to him, it may be that the winds of change are well and truly blowing for George.

Or the smell of money for the gossip rags

 Yeah, I'm in two minds about this.

The rational side of me says that these are just stories made up by the media so they have another reason to write about george clooney (obviously this is a story that's of interest to their readers and therefore = good advertising sales).

The irrational side of me thinks this is all just a pr ploy by team george to make the whole relationship story seem more believable, more 'in love' if you know what I mean.

At the moment I'm 50:50 on this.

I don't know if it's coming from his team or the media, but the more I hear he'll do anything to keep her happy, the more I wonder just what's going on. It all makes him seem so immature (like a lovesick teenager) - or worse - desperate.

Lizzy I suspect a lot of information out there now is made up, the media wants to write most of this drivel to feed the fantasy and sell magazines. George Clooney getting engaged is huge news, so his PR to some extent perhaps, and everyone else is going to make as much from it as they can.

After reading this thread, "where is Einstein"? Haven't seen or heard anything since taping Monuments Men and Stacy days!
