George Clooney takes in the crowd during his reported engagement party to Amal Alamuddin at Cafe Habana on Sunday (May 11) in Malibu, Calif.

The 52-year-old actor and 36-year-old lawyer were surrounded by pals including Cindy Crawford and her hubby Rande Gerber, as well as U2‘s Bono.

It was revealed that George and Amal were engaged late last month after dating for several months. Congrats again to the very happy couple!

George Clooney and fiancée Amal Alamuddin celebrated their engagement at a star-studded party Sunday night at Cafe Habana in Malibu.
The future Mr. and Mrs. Clooney were joined by some of their famous friends, including U2 frontman Bono.
Also attending—the restaurant's owner Rande Gerber and his supermodel wife, Cindy Crawford.
Sources tell E! News the low-key celebration was well underway round 7 p.m.
Clooney looked relaxed and was dressed in a casual blue shirt with jeans. His human rights attorney wife-to-be wore a green T-shirt with a sparkly heart on the front and floral shorts.
The restaurant where the engagement party was held is near the ocean and serves Cuban and southern Mexican food.
One eyewitness said the restaurant was very busy because of the Mother's Day crowd.
"People got a show they didn't expect and other [restaurant patrons] said it was the best Mother's Day ever," the source exclusively told E! News.

It's been a whirlwind past few days for the happy couple. They were photographed together Wednesday night in Cabo San Lucas.
A source exclusively told E! News the Monuments Men star, who just celebrated his 53rd birthday, and his stunning fiancée, 36, had a romantic dinner followed by an evening of fun with around nine friends at downtown hot spot Harbard. The pair were holding hands throughout the night and laughing at one another, and, as one eyewitness puts it, "You can tell these two are in love."
Clooney popped the question to Alamuddin last month.
This will be the second trip down the aisle for the Oscar-winning actor, who was married to Talia Balsam from 1989 to 1993—after which he vowed never to do such a thing again. Or so the Hollywood legend goes.

The ribbon/bowknot is fine. It's just that the "sparkly heart on the front" looks like a skull face. She definitely has her own unique style, which is not a problem at all as long as George does not mind it.

I think she might be preggie also. U never know. maybe he was presurred into marrying her but i do believe he is very smithen with her and chased her till he got her. I am happy for George, and I hope he does not get hurt by this woman. You never know what is up her sleeve. I hope her intentions is love for him and nothing else. Hollywood's hottest bachelor no more!
George Clooney and fiancee Amal Alamuddin enjoyed a HOT Los Angeles weekend in the 'Bu with pals Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber with a fitting farewell dinner at Gerber's Malibu hotspot Cafe Habana.
As photographers waited outside the restaurant, bodyguards prepared for the couple's departure, whisking George and Amal to their waiting black SUV. It appears Clooney escorted his future bride to the airport where it's believed she returned to London, while he stayed behind.
Back to work for the human rights lawyer and perhaps for Clooney as well. His upcoming film Tomorrowland is in post-production and set for release next year. The film follows Frank Walker, a former boy-genius who connects with a teen scientist "on a mission to unearth the secrets of a place somewhere in time and space that exists in their collective memory," according to IMDB.
But really ... who cares about release dates when we've got a wedding date to look forward to! Lake Como in the summer, perhaps? Place your bets now!

I don't think this was THE engagement party. I just think the press need to label the story. Looks dead normal to me - a few friends round to your restaurant's garden while it's business as usual inside.....

I'll go on record now to say that I hate her style. Especially here. My 8 year old niece wore an outfit eerily similar to that yesterday, sparkly skull and all. And the addition of a black blazer on top of it?? Yeah, I know. You're a lawyer, you're a lawyer....

I think they look happy and relaxed. I just can't with the way she dresses.

Perhaps deeply inside she is still a little girl, which may have been very attractive to George

George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin celebrated their engagement at a party in Malibu on Sunday.

The couple, who got engaged last month, partied with pals at Cafe Habana, which is owned by Clooney's friend and business partner Rande Gerber.

The globe-trotting pair, who recently flew to Mexico to attend a friend's wedding, were relaxed and affectionate at the celebration.

Guests, including Gerber and his wife Cindy Crawford, as well as U2's Bono and The Edge, gathered on the restaurant's patio, according to a source, who added that several of the guests performed karaoke.

The group toasted the couple with tequila and also sipped wine.

"After the toast, George and his fiancéé were all over each other," a source says. "Lots of hugging."

Alamuddin was showing off her emerald-cut diamond engagement ring (estimated at more than 7 carats and which Clooney helped design) at the party, which ended early in the evening.

According to the source, Clooney, 53, and Alamuddin, 36, left in a limo, toting gifts and flowers.

The couple, who were first seen out together in London in October, fell hard and fast for each other, and a friend Clooney's tells PEOPLE that Alamuddin is a perfect match for the Oscar winner.

"He has found someone who is as smart as he is and who is her own independent woman," the pal said. "Amal seems to be the best fit for him he's ever had."

And there's another reason why the British attorney is the ideal woman for the reformed bachelor – "they look good together," says Alamuddin's friend Jean Pigozzi. "She's a very smart and serious girl."

I think - based on the other picture where u see the woman in white shirt in profile - she is Lyndie Benson, Kenny G's ex-wife, longtime Malibu resident and one of Cindy's best friends (Cindy said so on her Lifeclass on OWN).

In some pics u can see children there, and Cindy's 2 children are also in the pics. It was probably a small Mother's Day gathering among their group of friends. Anyway, if it really was some kind of celebration for the engaged couple, i'm sure she would have dressed smarter right?

 Seems to me like an impromptu gathering - Mother's Day, Bono's birthday, G&A's engagement - good opportunity to celibrate all three all at once - at Cindy & Rande's restaurant with a Casamigos awning in the background! Geesh! How many birds can you kill with one stone?   

To me it obviously looks like a casual gathering of friends on a Sunday lunch time, where everyone dresses to please themselves, not to impress the people watchers.
Refreshingly real in my opinion. 

It's the type of sight I would see any 
weekend on a warm sunny day, in my local hostelry,
 except George & Co wouldn't be there. Shame !

There appears to be a lot of warmth and genuine affection 
amongst them all in those photos.

Yes the media is crazy about it. Maybe it was done for the media to get some pictures for them to feed them. It was really a "public" event. But of course good for us now we see so many pics

Wow, some of you guys think she's preggers? All I can see is a seriously underweight woman who's been starving herself. No way she's going to get pregnant unless she eats.

I don't know what it is with the women George dates. Stacy Kiebler's gaunt figure and poor relationship with food and nutrition was a concern but she looked downright healthy compared to what I'm seeing here. When the widest part of your arm are the bones of your elbow and when there's a gaping hole between your thighs, there's an issue.
