When will George get married ??

After his mum confirmed the rumor of his engagement I thought I ask the question. Do you think he gets married this year or next year or what? Thought I start a poll....hope it worked  

I voted for this year, maybe around September, but I could also see them waiting until next spring.

I don't think they'd be moving things along this quickly and then put the brakes on and have a long long engagement. But I also thought GC would never get engaged before he'd been with her at least a year so I'm not doing very well in the 'what will George do next' category. He must really be sure. I wish them well.

I guess too this year but as you already mentioned I'm not doing well as well in "what will George do next" category...hehehe

But good point you made. they are moving things now fast so there is no reason to slow down after the engagement  

I said a month ago on this forum they are getting married in a year. Now I stick to my prediction!

im saying this year, i dont think it will be Cabo or Como, i think the location will be either USA or somewhere exclusive where they will not be disturbed by the paps. Cant wait, i love weddings, best get me hat dusted off and ready

My guess is over the summer, soon enough that the novelty for the press will have worn off by the time film promotion begins in September. If he's smart, they'll get married the same weekend Kim Kardashian and Kanye West schedule their wedding. Every camera in the world will be pointed in Kimye's direction, and he and Amal can have some peace and quiet.

Wow... all the paps will turn crazy to take photos of the wedding, the dress, the guests.... And us to see them

I guess if George goes this summer to Como (what he will do) then the press will be worst then ever as everyone is expecting it to happen this year. 

So excited....We can all rent a boat with a tourist guide and float up and down the lake to see if we see something when it happens HAHAAH

Interesting that the Mayor of Laglio issued new privacy briefings in the village, with law backup a couple of weeks ago.......thought it was a bit early for that notification.

I wonder...maybe they'll do it before Como, so as not to put out the people who live there year round with the paparazzi invasion. He seems very considerate of the locals. Quick wedding and appearance in the States or UK to get the first photo out of everyone's system, then a nice quiet summer in Italy?

I think it will be soon in the next couple of months. I don't think the press will get any pictures it will be a private affair. I hope they will release at least one or two pictures.

With the privacy rules I guess they will have more privacy and we will get less pictures.

You know what, neither of his parents mentioned looking forward to a wedding. In fact, Nick went right to "It's going to be a great marriage."

I so hope they're already married. That's the only way they'd get complete privacy. No reason they couldn't have snuck away and eloped.

Her Parent's haven't made a statement yet wonder why.

Los Angeles has confidential marriage licenses. The wedding can be performed by a special notary. The license is private no one can see it. The couple only has to state they have been living together as man and wife there is no time limit on how long they have to live together. There is no way for the notary to check this.
It's one way they could get married and no one know until they announce it.

I think we have all been assuming they want a wedding. They can always have a blessing later for family and friends no pressure if they are already married.

Polygamy, while permitted to Muslims, is forbidden among the Druze. The Druze may marry within their family, including first cousins. Marriage outside of the Druze faith is forbidden. "If you marry out, you convert out," said Haeyl Azaam, a 30-year-old Israeli Druze who was quoted in The Jewish Bulletin of Northern California . "You're excommunicated. There's just no place for you in the community any more."

To keep marriage ties strong, a Druze will marry a spouse from another country rather than wed a local non-Druze. In an event arranged by the International Committee of the Red Cross in 1993, seven Druze brides in elaborate white gowns crossed the Israel-Syrian border to marry bridegrooms in the Golan Heights, according to a report in the Jewish Bulletin of Northern California . I assume "they" instead of "she" means her family or members of her family. I don't know what she is , but it is not a given that you follow your famiy's faith. George doesn't. I was raised Lutheran, have raised my kids Jewish, but I am agnostic.

Since she's clearly willing to overlook the "both must be virgins" clause, I don't think she's going to force the conversion issue.

Why do we always assume that a person who comes from an Arabic/Middle Eastern background must be devoutly religious? What evidence do we have that she practices any religion at all? George was raised Catholic - divorce isn't recognized in the Catholic Church, so he is technically still married to Talia and not eligible to marry Amal in the eyes of the Church. BTW, also supposed be virgins until marriage in Catholicism. But we don't imagine any of these things will matter to George. Until I see her coming or going from a mosque, I'm not going to speculate about her religious devotion or what it might mean to their relationship.

Actually Missa I think that George's marriage to Talia was never recognised to begin with by the Church being that they got married in Vegas. My family is protestant, I am not, husband is Catholic. His priest told him that if we did not marry in Catholic Church (I would have to convert) then the marriage would not be recognised by the Church or technically God, therefore if we were to divorce its not that big a deal to the church as we never said our vows in the Church.
