I think it's just STUPID to put all that money (3 million a year) in that satellite. He's got ENOUGH evidence already ! I don't get this. He could support hospitals, schools, local farming, local b&b's, you name it ... in South Sudan.
Or put a part of this money in this project: LINK

if I had family that lived in a Sudanese village who were able to be warned that the troops were heading their way to kill them and burn their village to the ground, I would be very happy that George never said "we've got 'enough' evidence... it's not just about prosecuting the murderers, it's about protecting the people

Er, how do we know that there is enough evidence from Satellite Sentinel for the ICC?
As I'm not part of any of the processes involved in this, I'm extremely happy to know that some one is happy to personally fund (to the tune of $3 million a year) such an amazing project which could have worldwide implications for any one wishing to commit atrocities

Very true and let's not forget this is only "part" of the approach to stopping the genocide there and protecting the people's lives until a diplomatic solution can be reached. Each of the entities involved are using the people as hostages and keeping an "eye in the sky" on their dirty deeds is paramount to the protection of these people. More damage could be done to them, in fact, they could be wiped out entirely, if no one was watching at all! Evil does it's best work in the dark.

I believe that it's entirely possible that SSP is now being used or considered for use in many other areas of the world. Of course, His Nibs may not be at liberty to say so, and it would be right that he didn't, but we already know that it's also being targeted against the Lord's Army in their poaching-for-arms exercises, but I suspect there are much wider implications.
It wouldn't surprise me at all to learn that Syria is on the list......in fact I think I read about discussions on that with, for instance, the UK human rights lawyers.
This is huge

Well that's fabulous news for all of the oppressed peoples all over the globe! I sincerely hope they move in this direction to stop a lot of the atrocities taking place almost in tandem around the world. There are so many "fires" burning and people suffering from oppression that it's impossible for any one solution to maintain them all but it would be a start to stemming the tide of innocent lives lost or ruined for the remainder of their lives.
