The way I look at it is that the 3 horses represent the Triune God (Heaven's voice), distracting him away from the danger they knew was imminent... It is a known fact that the non-human natural/creation (as in beasts+birds etc) are more obedient to their Creator's call/voice... and will follow HIS instructions to it's every detail... so much so, that they are the ones that God (Creator) uses most often to signal dangers/change, to HIS human children...

Very beautiful indeed...

The music in that Michael Clayton video clip is hauntingly mesmerising and the whole scene is evocative.
