The thing is, It's Me, George may prefer his real partner to be discreet, conservative & modest as he's constantly under the observant eye of public scrutiny. This would mean that the lady wouldn't even be able to sunbathe topless in privacy because of trespassing paparazzi.
Look at what happened to Kate Middleton earlier this year.
So this is an understanding his partner should have.

Now, on the other hand, the women he has flaunted as his "publicity girlfriends" this last decade have had some VERY embarrassing photos of themselves prior to their "relationships" with George.

Elisabetta Canalis may be posing her breasts in a wet, see-through outfit but one of her few acting roles involved her getting her nipples fondled as a soft-porn nun:

Surely they were all embarrassments for him when he considered short-listing them as his "next public girlfriends."    

Then there is Krista Allen & her pornographic nudity.
Lisa Snowdon had risqué photos.
Sarah Larson had compromising photos with other men, licking porn on the floor wasted.

Stacy Keibler has such an extensive range of embarrassing photos, bending over in skimpy errr... underwear getting spanked, sucking lolly-pops dressed as a child,  kicking her muscular frame sky high, exposing half her crotch to her violence-loving fanbase.

And  Monika Jakisic's latest photos look like sleazy poses escorts use on internet sites or ads posted in phone booths to solicit desperate men.  Segments of her labia majora hanging out of the too tight briefs.

So, as conservative as George might be, these embarrassments have been linked to him in public. You may argue that it was PR...  Still the public associates sleaze with him.

Oh, but it MIGHT just be the case.

Considering that out of all his fims, ONLY the Ocean's trilogy are blockbusters, the highest one ranking at #143 worldwide, none of his other films have earned in the 9 digits. Usually around 30M to 80M. Some less than that.
That's also with an incessant PR media campaigning frenzy. None are in the top 500 of highest grossing films.

So, now Gravity is ranked at #421 in just three weeks & skyrocketing, it seems that he finally has another blockbuster since the Oceans films.  

Suffice it to presume that more people may had flocked in to see his films if he wasn't associated with embarrassments & they found him more "respectable."

This is your personal opinion, Im sure you will find a million fans who don't think all his past dating choices were as you so nicely put it, dispensable, average looking trashy women!!.

George's career has gone from strength to strength throughout all these relationships so doubt very much that the public is so bored they wont go see his movies or turn up at his premieres etc etc.

His taste in women may be questionable to some, fair enough but its such a small part of who he is and what he brings to the table that for me its irrelevant.

Well I don't see (or not see) whats missing. All the red carpet photos are but a glimpse and in my opinion, its impossible to totally dissect a relationship based on a few photos that are taken at a premiere etc.

My point above was that he may have been even more successful with a public image that some didn't find unappealing. Perfect in every aspect; questionable to some.
Shock value sleaze offends more conservative or intellectual types. They don't normally read gossip sites, but might quickly view his profile on a database or come across newspaper photos.

And they're the ones who like art-house films like GNGL, Michael Clayton, The Good German, Ides of March...& most of his films.

You know not that LONG ago Mr Clooney wasn't on my radar...not in anyway...

But I remember watching the Oscars, I must have seen both events that Stacy was at... I remember seeing her in the Gold "Oscar looky likey outfit" .... but I swear I can't remember any comment about her or her occupation.... However, the last time I did pick up on the Professional Wrestler comment, but that was probably because a few weeks before I tried a boxercise class at the gym ...and ended up TRAUMATISED !!!
AND I do remember someone saying SK wrestler...I remember I looked up, and look a second look .... I don't recall judging her date, G, because of her career choice...

Now, that I am "ooh Mr Clooney"  and almost know as much about his GF as their Gynaecologists ..... I still hark back to the above Oscar days, where quiet frankly I couldn't give a F ... and would probably see Gravity, simply because it's my type of movie.

Maybe, we on COH navel gaze more than is good for us.   and Mr Joe Public doesn't give a fig..go ask the guys who have just paid nearly 200 million to see a Clooney Movie

Yes, I'm well aware of Gravity's success.
It's unique, beautifully delivered & great cast.
Along with Oceans trilogy, it's George's only other blockbuster in top 500.

That's not my point.

I just stated that his image MAY have kept some from taking him seriously. Conservative & intellectual types who love art-house films. The Good German made less than $2M. I saw it & loved it regardless.

Anyway, my main argument is that George Clooney should be happy in his personal life & see who HE wants to see. The photos & videos with the last several years of girlfriends reveal a man who is increasingly complacent & tolerant at most.

It's also is a sad sign to have no longevity in your relationships,  generally speaking. Like it's all for show. He's 52. Not a college freshman.

If he wants to see these women & clean up their image, good for George. Might be distasteful to some.
That's all.

But George Clooney's happiness in his personal life is most important.  
Above all.

I can only assume like everyone else here does that George is indeed very happy and is living his life his way - he hasn't wasted any opportunities to get the most out of each day - very much lives in the present (whilst planning for the future) perfect combo.

Perhaps you are looking into the wrong direction, when people who are really interested in cinema want to go and see a movie, they don't look at the personal life of those involved in movies. His movies are mainly small budget movies which grown ups and real cinema fans appreciate. It gets more than double its budget and always critically acclaimed. So mission accomplished. Silly movies like Transformers, Twilight, and romantic comedies make more money simply because it is easy to watch, entertaining, and silly. Those types appeal to all, but it dosn't last, and no ones will remember it in the future, and I am glad he doesn't make these movies..

When there is no GTC news for a bit we usually pull the GF apart. No GF so it's time to pull him apart. He's a fantastic and wonderful person, what does he have to do give up his complete life to satisfy everyone. Whatever the reasons this is George, so get over it and except him or reject him. But stop trashing him when you only can assume what his personal life is like.

He gave a lot more interviews years ago until he got smart about how they twist everything he says to sell rags. That's why he trys to control the gossips, cannot say as I blame. This is only for those who trash him.

In case you haven't noticed, my posts have been 100% praise about George Clooney.

I do have an opinion that the women promoted as his recent public "girlfriends" have had a trashy image.
Gee, you don't have to be a genius to deduce that.
It's evident in the plethora of photographs available online.
Often commented on everywhere & on this forum.

In summary:
*I replied to It's Me that if George likes conservative women as his partners, these women have over-exposed themselves with sleazy photos.

*I made the point that MAYBE he'd be taken more seriously by more conservatives & intellectuals who opt for his usual films or praise his humanitarian efforts if there wasn't an element of ridicule tied to his personal life. Just a possibility.

But above all, I wish him happiness & to be with someone he genuinely loves longterm.
