Arrested Development Cameo for George?

ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT BOSS TALKS GEORGE CLOONEY CAMEO AND POSSIBLE 5TH SEASON

There were more than enough celebrity cameos in the new season of Arrested Development, but executive producer and creator Mitch Hurwitz revealed on a conference call today that they were chasing a big name for the fourth season. The one and only:George Clooney.

The storyline would go like this:
"George Sr. (Jeffrey Tambor) has this land in Mexico and they was going to be constantly spooked and chased off the land by these really handsome men. We were going to get people like George Clooney," Hurwitz said. "And they'd be like, ‘Who are these guys? Who are these Mexicans that are trying to get us off their property?' And at one point [the handsome men] were going to say, ‘We are the Mexican Romneys!'"

Maybe we'll see something like that in the A.D. movie or a fifth season, which Hurwitz says he is "game" for. "I don't have a timeline yet," he insisted. "If there's more, I promise you we will put a date out there."

It's a relief that Hurwitz is willing to create more A.D. content, seeing as the new episodeswere met with mixed reviews by both critics and fans.

"I try to have a pretty open attitude about it. Everybody wants to be loved all the time; it's not realistic," he said. "It's certainly not realistic if you're going to be ambitious in terms of changing the form. There are risks either way. Had I done the exact same show I did last time, there'd be blowback to that."

When talking about the new A.D. format, Hurwitz insisted he meant to use the Netflix setup to surprise the fans and "tell a different kind of story," which he admitted was risky. "I think it's inevitable if you do that people are not going to be on board at first, or maybe ever. But that's a risk I willingly took."

Hahaha, I think they're going to be waiting a long time for George to do a cameo for them.
