Claridges Hotel - London
Claridges Hotel - London
I wondered how much it costs to stay at Claridges in London. These are the specials!
There one special 370 pounds = $558 dollars a night. Wow! That's their lowest price??? Yikes! Well it certainly keeps out the riff raff!

Thanks Atalante... who found this link.

Re: Claridges Hotel - London
In my previous job I used to organise my bosses accommodation. He went to London on many occasions but would inevitably come back complaining that the suite or room was incredibly small for the price he paid. I must have put him in at least 5 different hotels until he found a few he was happy with, Claridges was one of those.

Boss tested; theminis approved.
That's all I need to know - next time I come in to about 20 grand or so (gotta factor in air fare too) I'll have to check it out! HA!

Re: Claridges Hotel - London
The side of which is currently covered with white plastic awnings where there is major cleaning and maintenance work going on - and the side they all had to use to leave for the BAFTAs.....
Ir's very very Art Deco and Great Gtsby isn't it?
Really good series on it on BBC tv recently - interesting that His Nibs have moved to there recently as his London hotel of choice....

Re: Claridges Hotel - London
Lorna - my boss wasn't fussy (even though he rejected 4 hotels) but he was expecting to stay in what he called quality locations. Ive been to many of the hotels and restaurants that he recommended and I can definitely say that he had very good taste. He was very wealthy but liked value for money.

Re: Claridges Hotel - London
theminis embedding videos is pretty simple.
On the YouTube site there is always a link below the video that says "share" (on the same line that says "about" "share" "add to" etc.)
When you click on "share" another set of options comes up.
"Share this video" "embed" "email" and "video call"
Click on the embed option.
A code will appear in the box below it.
Highlight and copy the code then paste it here in your post.
I always preview to make sure I can see the picture of the video then click send.
That's all there is to it.

Re: Claridges Hotel - London
For anyone who hasn't seen the series on Claridges, the couple in the clip came over every year as their treat to stay there. Sadly not long after that was filmed I think the wife died and the husband had no need to come anymore. But it was a very good insight into the hotel. AND!!! they do doggy stuff!!! walkers and they keep bowls n rugs n stuff for your poochy!! Yeah for Eins, maybe that's why he stays there????
