George Clooney in Marbella? Don't make me laugh! Adding this to the list of real estate agents' wet dream fantasies, but it's a slow news day:

George Clooney buys a house in Marbella for 4 million euros

A George Clooney likes both Marbella which is investing in the big money. Sources in the city of the Costa del Sol to confirm that the actor Vanitatis just bought a mansion in the mountains, though, overlooking the sea, which has cost more than 4 million. And is also considering acquiring a stake in a company owning an estate near the Marbella Club.

The matter is carried very secret, because the actor wants to spend short periods of rest anonymous in that property, as they were doing in the European house that sold a while ago and it was located on the shores of Lake Como, Lombardy, Italy -. With the difference that this mansion was much larger than your new purchase real estate in Spain.

Marbella The residence has an area of about 400 square meters and has four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a large living room, billiard room, kitchen, porch and cellar. The parcel exceeds 1,000 square meters.

Late last year, shortly before the holidays, Clooney made a quick trip, and secret, to Marbella, with his last girlfriend, Stacy Keibler, and spent two days in the area. That's when the actor decided to buy a house in the town of Malaga.

Fuentes de la ciudad de la Costa del Sol confirman a Vanitatis que el actor estadounidense se acaba de comprar una mansión en la montaña, eso sí, con vistas al mar, que le ha costado más de 4 millones de euros. Y está pensando en adquirir también una participación en una sociedad propietaria de una urbanización cercana al Marbella Club.

El asunto se lleva muy en secreto, porque el actor quiere pasar cortas temporadas de descanso anónimo en esa propiedad, al igual que venía haciendo en la casa europea que vendió hace un tiempo y que estaba ubicada a orillas del lago Como, en Lombardía -Italia-. Con la diferencia de que ésta mansión era mucho más grande que su nueva adquisición inmobiliaria en España.

La residencia marbellí tiene una extensión de unos 400 metros cuadrados construidos y consta de cuatro habitaciones, cinco baños, un gran salón, sala de billar, cocina, porche y bodega. La parcela supera los 1.000 metros cuadrados.

A finales del año pasado, poco antes de las fiestas navideñas, Clooney hizo un viaje relámpago, y secreto, a Marbella, acompañado de su última novia, Stacy Keibler, y pasaron dos días en la zona. Fue entonces cuando el actor se decidió por comprar una casa en la localidad malagueña.

Precisamente, en las últimas semanas se ha especulado con que George y Stacy podrían estar pasando una crisis en su relación y, aunque el representante del artista ha desmentido la ruptura, los rumores apuntan a que Clooney y la modelo y exluchadora profesional no pasan por su mejor momento.

El primero en hablarle a Clooney de la ciudad de la Costa del Sol y de sus alrededores fue el actor español afincado en Hollywood Antonio Banderas, con el que el norteamericano mantiene una relación de amistad desde hace años y que también tiene una casa en la ciudad, La Gaviota, que ahora le está reportando numerosos quebraderos de cabeza con el Ayuntamiento. Según comentan, Clooney podría celebrar la fiesta de su 52 cumpleaños, el próximo 6 de mayo, en tierras marbellíes.

I personally don't see it as a place for George, his family and friends,
after quiet, peaceful Laglio.

I know Marbella and is a Spanish resort which is great for my children of 19 1 20 years, who loves Lake Como may not feel good in Marbella. A big house over Como? A Laglio has 15 bedrooms not only four!

Clooney has now sold his previous home in Lake Como, Italy and it is thought he will be moving into the dream Marbella property before his 52nd birthday on May 6.

I'm wondering if the writer is being a little over zealous here in reporting that the Como compound has been sold. I would venture a guess that this property in Marbella was acquired "in addition to" what he already owns. He may need more tax deductions and property is always a good investment.

Won´t spoil it further, read “the whole story” in the next issue of Architect’s Digest, should be out around a fool´s day 1/4, in few weeks time.

It´s a concept villa, soon available “keys to hand- ready” in every state in US. Big living room, loft feeling is it´s architectural corner stone. You have enough of room to practice your dance moves or do the forward (why not backward) rolls. If you buy it now you get a box of tequila bottles as bonus. And what is so great about it is the fantastic architecture, it looks equally splendid on the field of Oklahoma as it does in the bench of Atlantic.

I heard (cough) that Stacy and Torrie has designed the bar area. They are flying in a 24 karat gold leaf stripper poll; the flooring around the pole is red and black checker board with a black trim going around it. In the black boarder Stacy has had some of her famous twitter quotes inscribed in it. Bar and seat covers are covered in red vinyl with gold nail head studs and on the front of the bar in gold nail studs it says Mr. & Mrs. Clooney . Stacy has also commissioned an artist who specializes in black velvet painting of her nude lying across poor Einstein. This velvet painting will take a whole wall from ceiling to flour. Torrie insisted on Stacy ordering cases of red solo plastic cups with Stacy's and George’s monogram in gold. The pool table is black lacquer with black fur surrounding; the ball numbers are inlaid with Swarovski crystals which also come with Swarovski crystal pool sticks. No blue chalk here special ordered red chalk. There is also a poker table in the corner all decked out in black fur the center felt is Red. Yes personalized monogramed decks of red faced/gold lettering cards along with decks of pictures of Stacy have been specially ordered.

I really dont believe that he has sold his house in Como. Maybe he bought this new place as an investment. We know that he wont be moving in there before his birthday since he will be in Berlin until June so I am skeptical about this whole article.

Ahem, moving swiftly along, I also doubt the sale of Como. If he bought the place in Marbella - big if IMO - then I think it'll be in addition. As far as I know, he's not been a regular visitor to the area and he's not best friends with Antonio Banderas so how much truth could there be in the rest of the article?

I still think this is the usual story we get whenever George goes location scouting for his films: enterprising real estate people 'confuse' looking at places for filming with buying places to live in.
