Celebrity Fashion Crimes - George Clooney

Finally! Someone calls him out on his old fashioned sense of 'style' (living in the 90s isn't retro, it's sad).

Celeb: George Clooney.
Without stylist: His white T-shirt, black sweater and slightly-too-light jeans is a little "90s," but Clooney still looks great.

With stylist: Just one day later, the actor looks dangerously appealing in his standard look: a dark suit sans tie. His stylist must have a difficult job.

He looks so much like Cary Grant in the picture on the right. Yummy!

Does he really have a stylist? I would think not. He wears what he likes and what he feels good in whether it's his go-to white t and jeans and ugly boots, or dapper in his classic tux. I think he has nothing else in his closet!!

He has Georgio Armani himself sending him suits so I would assume at one point, probably early on, Armani gave him the run down on wearing suits - what works, what doesn't and how not to screw it up Then outside of a suit or red carpet situations, he wears what is comfortable and what is appropriate for riding his motorcycle. He is bloke who rarely varies his wardobe.

Also if jeans, white t-shirt, boots and black jacket is a crime against fashion - then I am a repeat offender and have been for years.

It's not what you wear, it's the way you wear it. If the t-shirt is ill-fitting, the jeans are too light or the wrong cut, the boots are the wrong shape or the jacket is the wrong cut, then it's wrong.

Even menswear fashions change. I think George aims at 'safe' when he should be aiming at 'classic'. Actually, I don't think George thinks about what he wears much at all to be honest.

I agree Katie. I think he wears whatever he wants. Some of those grandpa pants have been far from stylish! Also it is hard for him to look bad in a suit...
