At first I thought it was for the foot print ceremony at the Chinese Theater but George was clean shaven. But the article at the link discusses George telling Matt to wear big shoes for the ceremony.

Where the hell is George? There hasn't been a confirmed by photo sighting since 13th Dec. I know he likes to go to ground at times but we are coming up on a month and with Argo getting nominations, you would think he would be reasonably visible for the paps - even if it is just to keep the film in consideration as when the press run the pap shot, they mention the film and it's possible award chances.

Good question!

Possibilities are limited where he could go unrecognized and no paps.
This is one : He took the Trans-Siperia train to
North Korea. ( it takes a month with extreme weather and russian nonchalant attitude toward timetables). No place to shave so he must have long beard by now.
Meeting the leaders there and promoting some alcohol products in advance. It´s monopol market there! Maybe cars too. As we know journalism is nonexistent there. Impossible to import cameras to that country. Just my 2 cents. Very Happy

When George is not seen for a long time is locked up at home, for it is impossible to get around without being recognized and photographed if not disguised, I hope she's okay and nothing happened to him to keep him locked up at home
