She was in the news last week with her 'new' practically unrecognisable face.

Big change, maybe she just lost a lot of weight. I liked her in Bridget Jones´s, so goofy

OMG! She does NOT look like herself. That's not weight loss, her eyes and face are totally different!

Some of it's weight loss, some of it's a change in hairstyle, some of it's aging (the face does change shape as grow older) and quite a bit of it's due to eye surgery. IMO.

Re: Renee Zellwegger - fling 2001
Reminds me of when Jennifer Grey had her nose job, she looked completely different. Definitely plastic surgery on Renee.
I saw her at the Leatherheads premiere and I remember her eyes had a lot of wrinkles then. She was signing autographs but she kept her head down most of the time and hid her face with her hair.
I think it was a combination of shyness and also her being uncomfortable with her looks.
Of course, I think a lot of the issue had to do with how much stage makeup she had on also. To look good for the cameras from TV and photographers, I've noticed that makeup has to be more pronounced.
Anyway, I guess she felt she needed to do this so if it makes her happy great. I think it's just such a shock to those of us who have enjoyed her films and have followed her career for a long time. (She was awesome in Cold Mountain and of course I loved her work in the Bridget Jones films.)

I think most of it is that she lost a lot, really lot, of weight. Her face was more round before, and now it's thin and long. Maybe a tiny bit of surgery, but I'm guessing not a lot. She needs to eat a sammich

I can understand that beautiful women suffer for seeing their body aging
but I also blame those docs
at least they made a not so good job
in transfixing faces like that
IMO

Re: Renee Zellwegger - fling 2001
It's men too who undergo the knife to preserve youthfulness and desirability.
Burt Lancaster, Mickey Rourke, Sylvester Stallone, to name a few.
Others do it more subtly with rejuvenating spas, cosmetic injections, vigorous workouts, HGH, etc.
Hollywood isn't as harsh on women as it was last century. There's an increasing aging population in the Western world, therefore, women want older role models.
This trend is emerging due to demand. There'll be decades of apparent youthfulness in future generations.
Some people improve with age. Clooney is an example.
Julia Roberts, Monica Bellucci & Sandra Bullock are timeless.
Many preserve their youth.
As for Renee Zellweger, she looks slim, casual & healthy to me.
Some cosmetic work like obvious Botox on the forehead. Maybe mini S-lift behind the ears. Seems like she took some time out to reinvent herself or had health or personal issues. I doubt her agent had a shortage of offers for her.

Re: Renee Zellwegger - fling 2001
Actually, her brows look higher when she was all squinty eyed. But they are more open now. Wide eyed yes. Sharper cheek bones and laugh lines around the mouth come with age and loosing weight during older age.
Prolly reduced the amount of loose skin between the brow and eyes, and under them, to tighten the shadowy looks and make the eyes less wrinkled. The cheeks do get longer over time, so some puff up would be needed to help them seem less narrowed by age.
Know someone else who has the squinty eyed look and she has to wear false eyelashes to make her eyes look more normal. But you can barely see her lids as squinty eyed. Now with the extra skin gone, Renee looks more wide eyed as it prolly pulls the eyes open a little.
Hope she can close them well enough to sleep. heard another woman who had eye/skin removal and they had taken too much skin. Took her a few years to get looser skin so she could close them again. Couldn't be undone. She tried to sue. But she had signed an agreement to it.
