I'm currently reading Nora Roberts' "The Witness" which so far has me pretty interested.

Pages 86-87 (Male police officer is teaching female protagonist how to handle a gun - won't give any more info than that cause it's a really good read and don't want to give away plot)

Another officer (female) walks in and sees them.

From the book:

"Jesus Christ, John!"

"It's not loaded," Elizabeth said quickly.

"I repeat, Jesus Christ."

"Give us a minute, Liz."

"Oh, All right." More reluctant than she'd imagined, she gave the gun back to John. "I'll be in my room."

"What the hell are you thinking?" Terry demanded the minute Elizabeth left the room.

"She wants to learn how to handle a gun."

"Well, I want George Clooney naked in my bed, but I haven't attempted kidnapping. Yet."

And that folks was today's random George Clooney mention.

Mubarak given life sentence

read a George mention in a book lately.
I wonder if he has to give permission ?

No, I don't think he has to give permission. I think because he's such a famous figure, people can use his name in books in certain circumstances.

In other words, I don't think anyone would be allowed to write a story about George, but a mention of him in passing is fine.

This is the most amazing thing I've ever seen. Einstein the talking grey parrot - Rich Little has nothing on her. It's a little long but worth watching - you need sound.

Don't just cross your fingers, cross everything you've got for me, ladies. On Monday, I have a 2nd interview for a job I applied for. I met the owner last week and we hit it off and now she wants me to meet the person who would be the supervisor/office manager. I have never laughed so hard in an interview in my life. They are a very laid back office, asked if I would be offended by anyone in the office swearing. bwahahahaha! Little do they know...

Ok not a great way to start a Sunday morning....I just locked myself out of the house. I was going for a walk and grabbed my ipod at the last minute but forgot to grab my key. Had to go to my neighbor and call by brother and sister....but they both live far away and couldn't come. I had to call the police who took awhile to get here. Then the cop says he can't open the lock for some reason so he opened my window....which I then climbed through....all this time and my window that I thought was locked isn't .....what a morning! Whew...I still haven't had my coffee. Too early to have a glass of wine????

Sily girl, you are a girl after my own heart. I may have the most experience of locking myself out. LOL I once slammed my patio door so hard it locked and I was stuck on the balcony with no one in sight. And one time when I came home from shopping my key wouldn't open my front door. Had to call maintenance. Turned out the inside tumbler got stuck and wouldn't turn. He had to almost break down my door. Sometimes I think these things could happen only to me but it's nice to know I'm not alone.

And no, it's not too early for a glass of wine!

Years ago, I got locked out of my flat on the 2nd floor, with all the windows open, but no one had a ladder long enough.
The Fire service would have charged a lot to come along with hydraulic ladder.
After many hours I contacted a carpenter who'd worked on the
building of the flat and he knew of a secret way to get into the inside of the front door and with a metal coat hanger, lift the lock !

While we were waiting, around 2 hours, my girl friend and I went buy wine and ciggies to pass the time on the stair case....but her boyfriend, who's fault it was that we got locked out in the first place, wouldn't let us open the wine to drink it, as he said it wasn't at the right temperature !!

Yep, I have dorkisms too. Like last friday I was in a hurry to get to work and ran in to take a shower, which is inside the bathtub. I swung one leg over and into the tub, the second foot never cleared but rather smacked right into the side of the tub, breaking two toes. I grabbed them and pulled them straight, which hurts more than the break, took my shower, put my shoe on as soon as possible before the swelling got too bad, and went to work. Walked on my heel all day! When I got home and took my sock off, two toes were more black than blue! I had to work Sat morning and Sunday morning, and had to cut my floppies off the one foot because it swelled so bad. One of my dorkiest moments in life (where's that wine)

Looks like George is, to coin an old Mafia quote "hitting the mattresses." LOL

I hope he's enjoying his time off but his fans would appreciate a little peek into what he's up to lately.

Maybe he's reading 50 Shades of Gray. You know, getting ready for the summer.

Ok so I come to COH tonight and was a bit bothered by the photos...then I go to Facebook and see a posting from a friend who's son and his Macabbi Team (they show Jewish pride through sports) are taking on the project of a woman whose husband died during the Munich Olympics. I can' believe it is going to be forty years since that tragedy. Here is a link to a petition to get the Olympic committee to have a moment of silence for the 11 Israeli athletes who died during the 1972 games. As always it takes a child to put things into perspective...it isn't being done for religious or political reasons but just as a remembrance...... thanks
