That's the first time I've heard her speak more than a few words in english. Much improved from the leverage interview, this makes me feel better about her as a woman than anything I have seen her do in the past.

She wore fur at the London Film Festival on the red carpet in front of a sea of paps. Then she was papped a few months later in Milan wearing the same jacket. So she has changed her tune again. Does she not realise that she is going to get called out on this? Are her management that stupid? Or is she desperate for any type of media attention? Anything to get her name out and about in LA on the hope she might land a job or even an audition. Or more realistically, to say I am still here and I still have a "career" even though all the work I have done in the past couple of years since being on the Clooney publicity gravy train (Leverage, San Remo, TRL) has been horrid and whilst I have been called talentless, I'm going to prove them wrong because my ego cannot handle the idea that I am crap at all aspects of work in the entertainment industry other than taking my clothes off. And damnit, I will keep my name in the spotlight. I haven't social climbed this high or this hard to just be some surburban housewife in a town where nobody knows who I am.

Doesn't PETA buy billboards in LA and mag space? Apparently that is the only way she get get coverage in LA.

But George Clooney's girlfriend Elizabetta Canalis is obviously more confident in her body than most - allowing unaltered pictures to be released form her new campaign for animal charity PETA.

The 32-year-old model and TV host stripped off for the charity's latest anti-fur adverts in which she posed completely naked in front of a simple blue background.

The natural beauty bared all for the sexy photo shoot to attract attention to the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals campaign against the fur trade. Peta released the behind the scenes video, whetting fans appetite for the ads.

'I think this is the best reason why I got naked in my life,' Elisabetta said.
The Italian model and actress said her strong opinions on protecting animals were formed when she was young.

'I was a kid, a little girl, and was watching TV at home and they showed a documentary,' she said during filming.

During the shoot, Elisabetta also posed with one of her own adopted dogs who licked and snuggled with his mom as she lay on the floor of the studio.

Clooney's girlfriend of two years recently revealed that she has no desire to have children with the actor.
The 32-year-old, who has been dating George since 2009, says she is content with her life just how it is.
'[Getting pregnant has] never been an objective for me,' she told Italy's Cosmopolitan magazine.
'My maternal desires are fully satisfied with my dogs.'

It is a feeling shared by Clooney, 49, who has previously said he has no plans to marry again or start a family.

'I love it to bits,' she says of their relationship. 'I am happy to participate at events as the "girlfriend of."'

Finally found a way she could get her gear off. If it wasn't for her having worn fur and her love of those lovely luxery leather handbags maybe she would be believable. Her people have gotten desperate. Do PETA normally show so much boob? Her english has improved maybe she has been doing lessons she has certainly had the time too. Glad I don't live in LA a great big billboard of a naked Bette would put me off my lunch for sure. She is too skinny her ribs are showing, must off had a great photographer and great lighting. Nice to release it same week as Georges birthday don't want him to get too much attention.

She's probably a 'cute animals only' lover. I doubt she gives a shit about any animal that isn't totally adorable and in any case this seems to be a well calculated publicity stunt. Most celebs are like her; no understanding of what they're really supporting and completely contradict themselves.

I just send an e-mail to PETA brasil and to a journalist who really cares about animals and is a serious critic about peta publicity (and hypocrisy!).The same journalist that made Gisele Bundchen did a public apologyze on mainstream midia when she showed up using fur few years ago.
But I'm wondering why she chose this week ( Clooney 50's) to take her clothes off...the next days it will be all about naked Eli or is a Clooney's idea?

PR is PR anyway she can get it, and it gets more punch with George's birthday this week. Funny she had to take her clothes off to get attention? At least they are classier than the bend over ass shots. I am sure it will be a big boost to George's ego as he can show all the guys exactly what he is banging. I think it is a clear reflection on George, not good. Obviously she is not happy with being the girlfriend of and keeping her clothes on.

Her PR team probably chose the timing this way it makes sure she gets lots of attention and Georges birthday gives her a boost. Clearly she isn't happy with just being the girlfriend of or else she would be happy keeping her clothes on. I reckon she thought finally something she is good at being naked! Doesn't say much for her skill set. If I could I would send it to E and whoever else. But some wouldn't probably allow it on their boards they are so far up Georges bum. But this is something she needs to be called out on. She has worn fur, loves leather and unless it is cute and cuddly i dont think she really cares. I also don't think she looks great too skinny her ribs are showing.

I think that it's just attention seeking seeing as it's Gee's brithday tomorrow, and probably because there's NO party that's she's arranged or even included with. PETA is better off without her publicity, didn't Heather Mccartney do something similar?? That didn't go down well either. I'm sure Gee doesn't mind because then it takes the limelight off him and he can enjoy his birthday in reasonable peace! Also she looks really awful, not in a skinny way, but her face is so arrrggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! Not what I would call a "proper model"!!

No you don't have to be a vegetarian but not wearing fur and having such a love for leather products doesn't make you a great role model either. She has been seen in fur worn it on the red carpet her handbags are all animal products too. This is just Eli getting some easy PR doing what she knows she can do. Be naked in front of a camera if it helps some animals along the way great.

Maybe they will have a tagline with the words George Clooney's girlfriend....And yes I think if she was offered the $$$$ she would do a fur campaign without a problem. Just like I think she will believe in marriage and children when she and George breakup! It's funny how that happens.

Snoopy - I think celebs just get paid something minimal like award as doing the ads is all about exposure.

This is from the PETA website. I don't think this is going to cut it with Betty papped actually wearing fur and then deciding to participate in the "I'd rather go naked than wear fur" campaign.

Why does PETA work with celebrities who may not support or practice all the activities that PETA advocates?

By taking a stand against even one form of animal abuse or exploitation—and by helping us educate the public about these issues—our celebrity supporters are making a big difference. By helping us publicize the truth about animal suffering, they are helping to save the lives of countless animals. To deny people the chance to speak out against something they believe in, simply because they may not be "all the way there" on all animal rights issues, would be unfair to them and to the animals.

Check out this exclusive images taken March 14 of 2008 (that’s seven months ago!) from the lavish Scandinavian Style Mansion revealing a different side of Khloe from her new turn as an animal-loving activist.

Protecting innocent animals from being skinned seemed far from her thoughts as Miss Kardashian was more than happy to pose clad in a soft and beautiful fur coat. She even tried on several other coats while she was there and seemed quite taken by the elegant line of exquisite furs.

However, when PETA approached her to pose naked for their ad campaign, Khloe had no problem changing her stance to staunchly defend the rights of animals and coincidentally ensure her own right to gain free publicity.

I'm not a fan of Eli by any means but originally I thought she was doing a good thing with this photoshoot for PETA. But after reading all the comments about her doing this for PR I realize she shouldn't have wasted her or PETA's time. She didn't reclaim any respect, that's for sure. It would have helped if she wasn't pictured wearing fur coats and leather shoes.

And if George arranged or approved this, it tells us a lot about how much respect he has for women in general. ZERO

With the comment on PETA's website, they obviously don't care if their spokes people support them entirely. IMO, this lessens the statement they are trying to make but that is just my take. Like I said, PR for them - PR for her, everyone wins. I have a hard time believing she did it out of deep care and concern for the plight of animals. She spins her stance every time the wind blows in what ever direction will bring her the greatest benefit. Bad, not necessarily, but doesn't give much leverage to anything she does or speaks out on. If celebrities want to support a cause then they need to at least take the time to learn something about it. It is the ones that pop in here and there that lessen a celebrities power, pretty soon everyone just blows it off as publicity.

Celebitchy has a story about this Peta ad and they are not very kind. They really rake her over the coals as do most of the comments. For someone who thought being "the girlfriend of" could bring her a career she or her handlers have certainly messed up. If all she wanted was publicity she has done well but most of it hasn't been positive.

I think she probably jumped for joy she finally found a reason to strip again and look legitimate doing it. She is getting made fun off but she sets herself up for it. I doubt George got this for her, reeks of desperation. More like her PR team trying to find something to give her some attention. She works for a man who loves to use real fur, has been seen in fur, wears leather but if it really doesn't matter to PETA no wonder they are losing respect. Mind you maybe they think even with bad publicity it still gets their name out there kind of the way Elisabetta works. So birds of a feather....

This video is maybe the funniest thing I’ve seen in days. This is a behind-the-scenes video of Elisabetta Canalis’s photo shoot for PETA. She’s the latest “I’d rather go naked then yadda, whatever” campaign. I mean, hey, I don’t wear fur either, but I’m not a raving lunatic about it. And it takes about four seconds before you realize that Elisabetta has absolutely no clue what PETA is about, she just showed up and took off her clothes and posed her Adam’s apple off.

Eli says, for the record, “Doing PETA’s campaign has always been my dream… This is the best reason why I get naked in my life.” I love all of her little farty-face poses around the thirty-second mark. Too wonderful. Like, she’s talking about little animals dying and that makes her want to pout and look coquettish.

I still don’t know what “bluging them” means… she is talking about how animals are killed, and I make out “electrocuted” but then she “bluging them”. Is that, like, “bludgeoning”?

As far as her body… uh… sure, she’s got some good parts. But… I don’t know. Her skin looks really loose, like Iggy Pop’s. And her drag queen face is still upsetting.

The movie star reached the milestone on Friday (06May11) and marked his big day the evening before by dining out with Canalis at Chinese restaurant Mr Chow.

But his hopes of going incognito were dashed - fellow diners Kirstie Alley and Jackie Collins were looking on in awe at the Hollywood hunk.

Not surprising really it's something a real girlfriend would do. I still think the split happened awhile ago. Her appearance on E makes me think she is trying very hard to be seen as more approachable etc. I think she has gone down a peg or two! Needs a job badly and you can tell. At least planning his party would have given her something to do. When he turned 40 he had a big party I guess 50 isn't as important. I wonder if we will get some pics? I would love to think Nick and Nina came out and celebrated with him. Do the people posing for PETA usually get these sorts of interviews?
