Re: Stacy Keibler - part two
I agree with Charley and LornaDoone. I don't see Mel Gibson movies I can't his bad behaviour colours my view on him same with Robert Downey Jr, Charlie Sheen and I can't even look at Lindsay or Paris.
I do watch the Oscars, Emmy's and Golden Globes always have and very often I am in a chat room with a few people from here or another board where we talk about the clothes and how could she wear that etc. Same things we talked about with Stacy. The fashionista's don't talk for everyone and Stacy still made the bad fashion part of the fashion police so not everyone thought it was a great outfit. I think Stacy is pretty I said it in the beginning but she isn't remarkable I see girls as pretty or prettier walking down my street let alone in Hollywood. That is partly why she is still D list after 10 years in Hollywood and an ABC talent contract. Being in public means you are going to be talked about that is why she is with George in the first place. Some remarks have been harsh but that is the way some people see things and I see no more harshness with her then I did with Eli. In the end Stacy is just a temporary thing and won't last too long in a few months we will have the same conversations again. I actually think part of the problem here is that George didn't wait and let everyone get over the Eli phase. We just jumped from one pouty wannabe to an all smiling wannabe! Both of which who can be a little annoying. I'm annoying too just ask Dex, but then I'm not walking a red carpet and dating George Clooney for the attention it can get me.

Wink, wink; nudge, nudge; Say no more!
IMHO if she wasn't in this for herself, if she was only on George's arm because she likes/loves him, then this wouldn't happen. She wouldn't be profiteering from the fact that she's his latest galpal.

Here's the bottom line -- Stacy Keibler is now not getting out of bed (with George Clooney) for less than $25,000.
Sources told us the asking price for the model and former World Wrestling Entertainment personality to attend events has more than doubled now that she’s the A-list star’s companion.
While Keibler used to command around $10,000 for personal appearances at events and parties, planners are saying that she’s no longer going for less than $25,000 -- a more expensive echo of Linda Evangelista’s infamous supermodel quote, “We don’t wake up for less than $10,000 a day.”
“Stacy’s fee has gone up dramatically,” a source told Page Six. Another source theorized that her appearance fees “are higher because they [event organizers] hope George might show up.”
One insider said that Keibler recently had agreed to a $10,000 hosting fee for an anniversary party -- but following repeated appearances with Clooney on the red carpet, she came back to organizers demanding $25,000 for the gig, a 150 percent markup.
Gorgeous Keibler became an in-demand red-carpet staple after placing third on the second season of “Dancing with the Stars.” The former Maxim and Stuff magazine model was often found at events such as the Maxim 100 party, Super Bowl bashes for ESPN, Maxim and the Hard Rock Casino, launch parties for video games, club openings and other events, and would earn anywhere from $7,500 to $10,000 per appearance.
But now, not only is she expensive, sources said she’s not even available, having been attached to Clooney’s hip during his press tours for his buzzed-about movie “The Descendants.” Clooney also whisked her out to his villa in Lake Como, Italy, this summer and recently took her on a Mexican vacation in Cabo San Lucas for her birthday.
Reps for Keibler had no comment.

And just to add to the conversation... I'm not against discussing honestly about choices of dress, hair, actions, etc. What got me was the downright nasty name calling. I don't care if anyone doesn't like her dress. I didn't like the first dress she wore in Toronto (I think) The little black number. It looked way to small on her. IMHO But I didn't call her a wh***. Well that is one of the perks of dating George your status rises and you can ask for more now whether she will get it is the question. As soon as they break up that price will drop again.

If Stacy takes advantage of the opportunity that is evil? Being with George leads only to a rise in popularity among many criticisms! Today, many are looking for because she speaks around the world and the law of commerce is this: if I want to charge me in so many more!

Re: Stacy Keibler - part two
hey sisie I do that ALL the time!!! sometimes I've called my best friend giggling because of an outfit someone has squeeeeeezed into I will say something OY do people not look in the mirror? (then I'll walk by a mirror a bit later and laugh again and the crap I wear sometimes on quick errands!)
so yes I've critiqued clothes, and grooming esp on awards season. my best friend and I love to get on IM and watch an awards show esp the red carpet.
there's a difference between good natured chatter about a poor choice of an outfit to an official function and calling someone a name, making assumptions of their character etc. Just MHO.

Re: Stacy Keibler - part two
Moving this conversation over here in the proper thread -
This is part of her Bio and IMHO shows how American professional wrestling is not meant to considered real.
American professional wrestling is a big joke both male and female. Its all a game. Its not real. They really don't hit each other with chairs and tables and real strangle holds. The matches are all fixed.Mass Communications, her college degree, is a degree in journalism, public relations or advertising and she has been doing that (the bartending competition was probably part of this PR). SK is super smart and the WWF was a temporary job that she was offered and due to her athletic built and ability and 42" legs she decided to do maybe to earn some money.
This is part of her Bio and IMHO shows how American professional wrestling is not meant to considered real.
Was part of a storyline in WCW that involved her "marrying" David Fliehr. Ironically, her later boyfriend, Andrew Martin (aka Test), was also involved in a "marriage" storyline in WWE with Stephanie McMahon.

First it appears that Stacy did not graduate from Towson. It looks like she became a Baltimore Raven's Cheerleader, and then she left for a wrestling contract. I still don't get it why people think George who didn't get a college degree needs a woman with one. So what if she isn't that smart, just interesting about his choices is type.
Wow, I also can't get over the amount of money people pay for celebrities to attend events. Seriously a crazy business.

if, in fact, he did have too much to drink - she obviously doesn't have the brains to cut him off so he wouldn't look like a wasted fool. oh, but maybe you're right - get him to the point of passing out and she wouldn't have to put her acting skills to the test. LOL. hide your wallet fella.

Firstly I don't remember reading a post where someone has called Ms Keibler a wh***. Saying someone looks LIKE or dresses LIKE is, with all due respect, not the same thing. Everyone has a "minds-eye" picture of what a wh*** looks like. So if someone is dressed in a similar way to your own "mind's-eye" pic of a wh***, then you are naturally going to make the comparison, either in thoughts you don't share, or in words.
Saying someone is a famewh*** is a completely different thing. And here, whether it bruises your sensibilities or not, I do think that Ms Keibler is a famewhore. As far as I know Ms Keibler has not discovered the cure for cancer, she has not starred in any award-winning movie, she has not saved a dying child, she has not invented the next ipod. All she has done is be seen on three red carpets with George Clooney - the two in Toronto she wasn't actually on it with him - and yet she ups her appearance fee by more than 100%!!!???? She is profiteering off his name (I'm sure that is grammatically incorrect, but you all know what I mean, LOL). Why is she more valuable now than she was four months ago? And the telling thing about it is SHE UPPED HER PRICE! She wasn't deemed more valuable by the people who pay appearance fees, SHE SAYS SHE IS!!! She IS a famewh*** IMHO.

Stacy Keibler Promotes George Clooney's New Movie

The Former WWE Diva is Really "Dancing With The Stars!"
The hottest romance in Hollywood continues to heat up even more as Former WWE Diva Stacy Keibler was busy promoting boyfriend George Clooney's new movie The Ides of March.
The movie, directed by Clooney, takes a very Aaron-Sorkin-like look at American politics. Ryan Gosling plays Stephen Meyers, a sharp, young campaign adviser to Govenor Mike Morris (Clooney's character), who is fighting a grueling primary for the Democratic presidential nomination. Philip Seymour Hoffman plays Paul Zara, Stephen’s boss and the governor’s right-hand man. Paul Giamatti is campaign manager for the opposition, while Marisa Tomei is her typical awesome self as a cliche reporter for The New York Times.

I don't think George is drunk just a bad picture . As for her smiling if she wasn't smiling people would swear she and George had a fight or that she is a miserable cow so it seems these women can't win.

I do apologize, Charlie, for making you upset. And I said nothing about you or anyone using the word Famewh***.
I'm wondering where his hand is in that picture...

Re: Stacy Keibler - part two
can we give every poster on the board a get out of word jail free card? the air is clear, no one said anything bad about stacy or anything else. we all read katiedot's request about keeping things *what katie dot said*
susieq *YES MA"AM!!!!!!* I will try to be clearer next time. LOLOLOL
Hi charley I too am sorry you're upset. Is it ok if i politely disagree with one tiny thing? I probably do not understand the term famew***e but..... i think that upping her price for appearances is actually a smart financial move. from what i read of the articles today she actually didn't raise it percentage wise that much compared to others or what she could have.
i would love to understand your perspective, maybe I am misunderstanding because i tend to be a bit of a naive pollyana.
I also admit to being slightly prejudiced. I like stacy, she seems good natured, bright & comes across as a happy person fun to be with. it's certainly better than eli who seemed to be publicly pouting and/or sour sometimes at public functions. but I freely admit to being new to all things George so I welcome an education.

Re: Stacy Keibler - part two
On one of the threads about Stacys appearance fees someone said something funny.
" Why would anyone pay $25k, or even $10k, to have Stacy show up?
Does she tell jokes, make ballon animals, or juggle....." LOL

Re: Stacy Keibler - part two
I think she needs to do as many events as she can now she has upped her price cause once it's over it will go back down! She upped the price my how much she thinks of herself. It will be interesting to see if people are actually prepared to pay her that. She may think she is worth it but others may not. I don't think anyone is going to be stupid enough to think George is going to show up with her. When I read the Page Six story and celebitchy it seems pretty clear to me someone is really making fun of her. I'm not so sure she will be there with George tonight for some reason he doesn't take her to everything. As for the smiling yes she is way better then Eli but it never changes and it looks fake. Doesn't matter what happens Stacy is grinning like a banshee no one is that happy. If it was a little more natural then ok but her's doesn't touch her eyes this is her I'm in public getting my picture taken smile.

Re: Stacy Keibler - part two
@Cinderella - I wasn't upset by your post, I just disagreed with it.
I am not concerned about how posters discuss Ms Keibler so much as how they treat each other. As I said in an earlier post, I've not seen lots of arguments in this forum between posters. We all realize there are many differing opinions about most everything, let alone Ms Keibler. And I think we all sort out hurt feelings just fine.
Although I don't know Ms Keibler, I make judgements about her according to how she presents herself. And nothing that I've seen from her makes me come anywhere near liking her. There were a lot of posts in the first Stacy Keibler thread that discussed the possibility that George, shall we say, "hooked up" with her to discount all the Canalis BS about him trying to get back with her, and to stop Canalis from trading off his name on DWTS. I happen to think that is pretty close to the truth. I think that because I see no feeling from him to her, and absolutely none from her to him. I think she saw him as a way to "up" her own star meter and nothing else.

Charley, speaking of star meters - all three of them, George, Stacy and Elisabetta are DOWN this week. So all the PR didn't seem to work the up way!

That's what I was afraid of from the beginning... We all talked about it like Charley said and I agreed... I hope it doesn't keep going down for George! That will be terrible!

Re: Stacy Keibler - part two
@iamnoone - I was writing when you posted. If you believe that the word "famewh***" describes someone who will do anything and everything to achieve fame, no matter their talent or lack thereof, then you are correct. When Ms Keibler first appeared on the George scene, a number of Americans I know on other blogs/forums described her as the famewh*** to end all famewh***s. I waited to see and I now agree that she is indeed a famewh***.
And in my opinion, Ms Keibler has no right or reason to up her appearance fee, because SHE has done nothing to deserve more money.
Also, a poster on CU who is a professional photographer was away from that forum for a few days when Ms Keibler did the bar-tender judging thing, so she had quite a few posts to catch up on. Most of those posts had pics of the event. This photographer said that she noticed that Ms Keibler's smile is the same in just about every single pic taken of her. She (Ms Keibler) may turn or tilt her head, but the smile and the expression on her face could be cut and pasted on to each pic and they would still be exactly the same. That is not natural. It is not genuine. That is what Dex said in her post above, Ms Keibler's smile is false, it never reaches her eyes.
edited to add: iamnoone - I don't like your name! I used to admonish my staff who, when I answered the phone would say, "Hi it's ONLY me". I used to tell them to stop saying that, that as far as I was concerned they were a valuable member of my team and should not sell themselves short by virtue of that "greeting". And you are not "noone". Everyone is a someone. Every person is valuable. Don't sell yourself short - EVER!!
