I am at a cookie convention in Chicago and some of the crumbs here are wondering if George Clooney tells the women he dates what they want to hear? Or do they only hear what they want? My favorite cookie is the Milano, what's yours?

He's a schmoozer for sure, but he has never made his commitmentphobia a secret, unlike a lot of other eligible bachelors in this town who will wine and dine a woman just to get into her pants before leaving her in the lurch. G.C. is a classy player, if that even exists. As for the cookies, I'll take any these days—damn you, cigarettes!

Maybe I'm remember wrong, but I had thought George had said once he's upfront from the beginning.

I think he treats them well, is honest up-front, but somewhere along the journey they forget about his ex's and start feeling to special. Who knows some people fall in and out of lust/love more quickly than most.

I think a woman always believes she can change a man. Isn't that the major cause of divorce, we think they will change and men think woman won't?

That's what I always thought too; however I am starting to have doubts and I think that to avoid confrontation he is now telling Eli what she wants to hear and she feels very powerful. When rumors started about George being on the verge of dumping Eli, she was in Cannes with Cavalli. She flew to London to confront him and when she came back she acted like a cat who just swallowed a canary. While until then she always said that she was not interested in marriage and her maternal instincts were satisfied by her dogs, suddenly there is marriage in the future for her and children and that she would never be with someone so low in class to say that he would never marry or have children with her. What happened in London?? Has George lost his touch and caving in to Eli or is he just telling her what she wants to hear because he hates confrontation?? She is from Sardinia, very strong willed people there, George might even be scared of her! LOL.

Who knows? I think George is also very strong willed. When was the interview done? The photo's are from the yacht in Cannes, was it done before or after she went to London (the interview)?

I think that to avoid confrontation he is now telling Eli what she wants to hear and she feels very powerful.

I'm only guessing just like you and the rest of us, but I doubt George would do that. He'd be a fool especially at this stage. Though, I don't know the reasons why marriage and baby talk is coming out this week.

I doubt George would be doing that and at the same time let his pals talk about a split being in the works. The marriage and baby talk is easy she wanted a lot of publicity for her new TV show what better way then to talk marriage. She has seen how it worked before and she would know she has nothing to lose so why not go for all. Her smirk was cause she finally got a pap shot of her and George that doesn't mean he is going to keep her around any longer then he plans too. I have always thought he treats them well maybe too well and they get the idea it will lead to marriage and believe the press they get.

I agree she hasn't been photographed with George for a long time and she knew if she talked about marriage and children she would get publicity. It worked again, she did. At the same time, so is George.

George is a very nice guy but a bit naïve. Eli is strong willed, stubborn and a manipulator, even her publicist in LA once said that Eli was a very sweet girl but the greatest manipulator she had ever met. She always says how George loves her, reassures her when she feel insecure. Nothing better than a couple of tears and her “signature pout” to melt his heart.
No I don’t see George dumping her. She will fight to the end…and I really really hope that I am wrong!!

I think George is a lot stronger then you think. He has gone for months without being pictured with her so her pout and tears can't work on him that much. I think the split has already happened and George is just biding his time. If Eli was that good she would have gotten the ring maybe with the next guy! It will be clear within a few weeks I don't see George letting this drag to close to his premieres etc. George likes to leave them when they have some work it doesn't make him look as bad!

Hold on, are you saying since sh was dating those soccer players she's been stalking him and harassing her friends trying to meet with him?? I did not know she was more desperate and clingy than Jessica Biel, argh!

I agree Dexterdidit and I will post soon on the forum a recent interview GC gave to NBC (I believe) and Prendergast said something like you cannot manipulate GC...

For whatever reason, and it’s most likely because he wants to be, George Clooney has chosen to be with a person like Elisabetta Canalis. I do admire a woman who has achieved financial independence whether it’s to keep herself in high fashion, personal satisfaction or make sure that she never has to depend on a man for support. Ms. Canalis will never have to worry a day in her life about money for herself or any children she may have. I know there are more important things in life than money, but money is still important. I watched my mother crumble financially when she divorced and swore I would never put my self in such a vulnerable position. One of the reasons I went to college was to ensure myself I wouldn’t have to depend on a man to take care of me - but that didn’t work out so well for me after all.

That said, I don’t respect the manner in which she made her money. Live and let live; to each their own. However, I do believe porn, nudity and exhibitionism degrade women in many ways. So whatever. George Clooney doesn’t have a problem with how Elisabetta Canalis makes her money and he helps pad her coffers. He paved the way for her to become an international celebrity even though she doesn’t contribute anything of real substance. It makes me sad.

George Clooney’s message to everyone is loud and clear. What he values in women above all else is physical beauty.

My personal view of him is forever tainted. I don’t watch his movies and I don’t care about his humanitarian efforts.

His public persona has been carefully cultivated and controlled by his publicity staff but I’m not buying it. The devil may care attitude and the I am a really a good guy routine is something else. LOL. He has fooled a lot of people for some time now.

I don't understand the first sentence in your question - "Since this Topic is called "Morning Bitch-Back". I thought I was just adding my opinion to the conversation on this thread.

@bowhunter I liked what you wrote mostly in regards to the first and second paragraphs. You write from life experience, at least that's the way it reads. Thank you for commenting on this topic it's always nice to have a fresh opinion/point of view.

@As for George don't underestimate him he's a lot stronger than he let's on IMO.Think about all the women he has dated over the years, and all the games he's had played on him from those women.I remember SL once saying that "George knew how to get what he wanted in life from others".

I agree, Lucy. I don't buy that whole 'innocent, naive' George who's so unaware of women that he lets himself get manipulated into doing things he doesn't want.

He's intelligent. He's been rich and famous for a long time and a target of golddiggers for that same long time.

I'm sure he knows exactly what he's got himself into here and knew it long before he got involved with her.

One of George's 'friends' once said in an article, he knows the game and knows how to play where woman are concerned. He must treat them well or something, as we don't have any tell alls being written. With the exception of Sarah Talley and that didn't go far, or was just one article.

I am starting to think a lot like you and I hate it because I really really liked CG for a long time; however, I don't know what possessed him to start dating Elisabrutta (Ugly Betty as sometims they call her in Italy) with all the package she is coming with including a couple of possible cocaine/prostitution/Berlusconi trials. Is he some kind of Pigmalion who jumps in and rescue women, take them to his castle, get them started on a career of their own and then dumps them? Personally, the end with Eli is not near; he hasn't even blinked at the several interviews of Eli regarding her "marriage/children in the future for her" and the fact that "her boyfriend" never said he did not want to to get married married or have children with her otherwise she would not be with him...when it is obvious in his interview with David Frost on 1/2008 and again in 1/2011 with Morgan Piers that he REALLY doesn't want to get married again nor have children. He didn't kick her a..s or accused of telling lies. I bet he had promised her something, maybe not right now but in the possible near future and that's why they are still together.

Only they know why they are still together, I would like to hope it is for love, but I'am a romantic and have not grown up wealthy which IMO seems to change the whole relationship.A lot of us that have followed George for awhile began to see him in a different light,especially on the topic of women.IMO he is not Prince Charming, just a good looking,talented,interesting,some what intelligent, funny man.

@bowhunter: Hi there! I don't think we should have expect people to change. We can improve or get worse (hopefully not) in our essence, but changing is a whole lot different. We either accept how people are or move on...

Also, we should never put someone in a pedestal and have high expectations, especially people we don't truly know like GC.

I think it was a spoof on the IOM magazine cover. The cover that has half of George’s face and the other half is Ryan’s. Ted has a great sense of humor and throws things out there to make everyone go “what?”! But there is a method to his madness! LOL

LOL We aren't really wondering if Ted is gay are we? Cause he is pretty well known as being gay! That is another reason I think if George was gay it would be all over the place. But Ted has said many times George isn't but her really wishes he was!

Yeah, Ted Casablanca's gay (thought that was well known). I've always suspected the E! team are rather too compliant to Stan and don't always trust what they say about George.

Re: Katie and Dexter, I really didn't know Ted was gay. Not that I think there's anything wrong with him being gay, just that I 'm not a fan of Ted's and never really followed him. LOL

Let's face it, if Ted wasn' gay, he probably wouldn't be where he is now. His take on everything is predicated on that premise.
