Its not a Cancun Film Fest. This is the Annual Summer of Sony Movie Event taking place in Cancun that was brought up in "Where is George now" thread. IOM is a Sony Film.

George Clooney flashed a smile at the Cancun Film Festival today during a photo call for his latest directorial project The Ides of March. The political thriller, which he also stars in, kept George and his costars Evan Rachel Wood and Ryan Gosling busy shooting in the Midwest for much of the Fall and Winter. Evan and Ryan didn't join George south of the border for this afternoon's festivities, and, of course, he was also without his ex-girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis. She was a frequent fixture by his side at red-carpet events for the past few years. It was his first public appearance since the end of their relationship made news in late June, and according to some reports, the reason George and Elisabetta broke up was that he doesn't want to get married or have children. Whatever the cause for the split, George has plenty on his professional plate to keep him occupied this Summer and Fall. The Ides of March hits theaters in October, The Descendants is out in December, and George has also signed on to produce his friend Ben Affleck's upcoming movie Argo.

It's also wonderful to see how happy and relaxed he is with this partnership with Grant. I think this is a much better fit for him professionally. He and Grant compliment each other's talent and enhance the work product as a result.

Actor George Clooney warned the politicians that "come to Twitter" to avoid disgrace, in a statement released Wednesday by the Mexican press from Cancun (east) where he promotes "The Ides of March", the film that plays a presidential candidate.

In the famous Mexican resort on the Caribbean, Clooney jokingly responded to a question about the advice they give to politicians after his experience of playing one on the screen.

"Do not sleep with their interns. Do not take photos anywhere (their bodies) Oh and above all not to approach Twitter," said the actor, according to his statements quoted by the newspaper Excelsior.

U.S. Congressman Anthony Weiner resigned on June 16 after a scandal over the sharing of photos with women in that social network.

"The Ides of March", even without a title in Spanish and refers to the date of the assassination of Roman Emperor Julius Caesar, directed by and starring Clooney, who represents a Democratic candidate for U.S. presidency. The film will be premiered at the Venice in August.

"We had to postpone the making of this film because in 2008 everyone (in America) were happy with the victory of Obama," the actor, 50, elsewhere in his remarks quoted by the newspaper Reforma.

El actor George Clooney aconsejó a los políticos que "no se acerquen a Twitter" para evitar caer en desgracia, en una declaración publicada el miércoles por la prensa mexicana desde Cancún (este) donde promueve "The Ides of March", el filme en que interpreta a un candidato presidencial.

En el famoso balneario mexicano sobre el Caribe, Clooney respondió en tono bromista a una pregunta sobre el consejo que daría a los políticos tras su experiencia de interpretar a uno de ellos en la pantalla.

"No se acuesten con sus becarias. No se tomen fotos de ninguna parte (de sus cuerpos) ¡Ah! y sobretodo no se acerquen a Twitter", señaló el actor, según sus declaraciones citadas por el diario Excelsior.

El congresista estadounidense Anthony Weiner renunció al cargo el 16 de junio tras un escándalo por el intercambio de fotos con mujeres en esa red social.

"The Ides of March", aún sin título en español y que hace referencia a la fecha del asesinato del emperador romano Julio Cesar, es dirigida y actuada por Clooney, que representa a un candidato demócrata a la presidencia estadounidense. La película será estrenada en la Muestra de Venecia en agosto.

Sorry, but Cinderalla was the first to "discover" this Sony Event in Cancun on Monday which got all of us looking to see if George showed up.

I have a great idea - why don't we give all of us a big hooray for finding and posting threads/links/articles/photos.

We all do our best and find wonderful, interesting things about George. Let's not worry who did what and when and just enjoy everyone's "finds" and enjoy each other.

Adam Sandler and Katie Holmes got the press cameras clicking as their new comedy, Jack and Jill, took centre-stage at the annual Summer of Sony movie event taking place in Cancun this week.
The great and the good of the movie world, including Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Daniel Craig, Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake, have jetted into Mexico to showcase their upcoming features.

Thanks to everyone who got all the pics and video. I don't think he has looked this good or relaxed since he hooked up with "her". Who said he was done with PR? Maybe he really is at his best when he is single.
