What did I miss? I watched the interview and he didn't answer the question. When Piers asked him if he ever planned on getting married, he said you forgot I was married once. Piers then asked him if he planned on getting remarried again, then told him he didn't have to answer the question and he said he wouldn't. They then talked about Piers remarrying, needless to say I haven't deleted it so I just replayed it.

Women see him and think they can save him from himself; he is a challenge and women love a challenge. If he would date someone everyone thought was decent and they broke up, they might actually side with the woman. Remember the whole Jen and Brad saga, I know people who still think he is an ass(?) when they really have no clue what happened.

So she is at a fitting at Pucci for an upcoming event - doesn't Ely wear solely Cavalli? I guess that is only when she is on Clooney's arm as ‘official arm candy’. Dundas is the designer for Pucci. Ely looks good here - natural, rested and not trying too hard.

The event I assume they are dressing her for is a AIDS charity dinner in Paris on 27th Jan 2011. Pucci has bought a table at the event and the designer has organised for a number of celebs to be at the Pucci table (assumed from the twitter tweets). Guess that explains why she wasn't at the San Remo press conference the other day. As per the time stamp on the twitter account when this was posted, she was busy in Florence two days ago (location of their design offices) getting fitted for the dinner and then was most likely on her way to Paris. Let's hope the Pucci people dress her better and know how to fit a dress. Ely is stepping out more and more without George - good for her. Although a fashion event? Not really her thing with her claiming in the press that she is such a "tomboy". Oh well, attention is attention. And she will probably get so free Pucci gear out of it (along with the cheque for turning up) for publicising the brand.

It may not be the charity event that she was getting fitted for like I thought. As Ely was papped shopping in Milan on 27th Jan, it would be unlikely that she would then show up in Paris that night. Pap coverage of the event will clarify but I am now assuming not. I should have known better - Ely at a charity event to support the cause – unlikely if the cause isn’t about animal welfare. Her in attendance at a charity dinner without George therefore not being the centre of attention – nope, not Ely’s thing.

Maybe Pucci is one of the outfits she will be wearing for San Remo. The organisers probably weren’t happy that she would allegedly just getting solely dressed by Cavalli as per the Cavalli press release as to her continued face of underwear line deal. Dressing the hosts would be good press coverage for all and any Italian designers and if San Remo organisers aren't getting a cut of Ely's Cavalli deal, they may have insisted that she wear outfits by numerous Italian designers over the course of the festival. Still hoping Pucci dresses her better than Cavalli or even if the dress is hideous, that it at least fits properly.

Run Piero Run!!! Run for your life little doggie. Get away from that bad woman. She hangs you then hangs her head in shame...

Being that it is a harness style lead, Piero isn’t being injured or hurt by her carrying him by the leash – it just looks horrible. Piero seems non-plussed about the whole thing. If he was on a neck leash with no body harness then it would definitely amount to animal cruelty. But not this.

You would think that she would know better though. Right in front of the paps. I just don’t see why she would choose to put Piero down in front of the paps just before she is about to walk into a building especially when she is “trying” to avoid them getting a good shot. Would it not be faster and easier to manoeuvre away from the paps if she was still carrying Piero instead of him walking on his own? Odd.

Yeah, watching is right. Piero is totally fine. I was walking a friend's Jack Russell one day (and carrying a bunch of picnic supplies) when a giant mean dog tried to fight. I simply hoisted little Joey up and air-lifted him out of harm's way. He had a harness on too. Plopped him back down when we were out of bad dog's range. No danger. In general, harnesses are way better than collar leashes, imho.

I still don't think it's ok to lift an animal up like that, harness or not. I always support the animal's weight by lifting under it and also holding it under the legs as well so it's not dangling mid air with all the weight carried by the neck and chest area with legs dangling.

I certainly wouldn't carry a dog that way for miles, but it looks like she's just putting him down using the harness instead of her hand supporting his ribcage.

Sure, it looks bad for the paps, but it's not really worth a call to the ASPCA (or whatever they have in Italy).

I never understand ladies who need to tote a tiny dog into a store with them. Nor do I understand why stores allow it. I hope she bought treats for Piero during her spree.

I don’t understand the flying the dogs between all the different locations that she goes when she isn’t there for extended periods. Hopefully for Piero’s sake, she is saying in Italy now until after the San Remo festival so that is almost a month in one location without more flights. I can only imagine but puppy jet lag would be awful.

I have 3 dogs and I love them like my kids,but they are happiest at home,and with each other. So I just don't get the taking your pet to work,etc.

Lucy, that’s what throws me with her association with Cavalli. She rarely looks sensational and polished in his dresses yet she seems dedicated to wearing his designs regularly and prominently (outside of my theory that she is on the payroll to wear his dresses). The dresses do not seem to fit well and most of the time, they are not flattering. Considering whom she is dating, she could get dressed by pretty much any designer at all yet she keeps going back to Cavalli (and the same talent lacking hair and makeup people).

It’s one thing for loyalty to a designer that you have known for years (yet rarely worn his clothes) but when you are on the world stage and outside of your homeland you are basically only known for the way you look, you think she would be a bit pickier about her presentation. Dresses that fit look much better than ones that don’t. Especially as she wants to be famous in her own right. And that now that the only jobs she is getting is as a model or a personality, you would assume that presentation would be much more important to the bank account than when she was solely arm candy getting acting jobs presented to her on a silver platter through association.
