This makes me very sad.  There was a time when George made no demands... drove himself everywhere, no demands on studios for special treatment.  Now- bodyguards, ( before you jump on this -no........ he doesn't always need one, but wants one, even before Amal), and his own court?   You can bet your ass HE didn't pay for it.  He's a STAR ( without any recent blockbuster hits of late- but a star none the less) .   I want the old loveable George back.

From where I stand he is still the George you speak of (even with all the additions).  He has a heart second to none; I've grown to love him without measure.  

Studios want the stars to be happy, that is one of the perks.  I'm sure he shares it with all the others that are around including the cast and crew. George has not changed he is still kind caring and down to earth. Basketball is something he loves and a great way to pass the time.

 it is probably removable they are on a lot where they surely have the props for this. When he is done they take it a part costing them nothing and giving George cast and crew something to do on down time.

Pigpen, I think George is sensible enough to know when it's safe or not to have a bodyguard. Pretty sure he goes quietly about his business most of the time without. But he is sensible enough to heed their advice I'm sure.

And we have no idea what the threats are or not to either of them.

In fact, judging by the way he mixes with the crowds at public events e g Tiff, he must be nightmare to look after!

True Pan I'm sure he knows when to have security and when not. The bodyguard we see with him in the U.S has been working with him for years well before he met Amal.

Let's not forget lovely Gio who has also been with him for years.  Doesn't seem George ever got criticized for having Gio by his side.

The BB court looks like a makeshift to me.  Constructed probably for George and the actors and crew to use during down time on the set.  I don't see anything ostentatious about that.
