I wondered if they would be there. I looked for them when the cameras panned the audience, but didn't see them. Could they have met with the President after his speech? Gone to lunch, maybe? I wonder if any of their efforts the last couple of days will have any positive results.

Definitely, I appreciate the chance to see them together, especially after all those high-profile divorces happened recently... Ben, Brad, Jonny Depp... Suddenly the forever bachelor seems to be the happiest husband in the Hollywood!

Many of you know how I feel about the PDA's of these 2.  To be holding hands at the UN is disrespectful, rude and in my opinion nothing more than a cheap attempt at "we're soooooooooooooooo in love" shit.

As pan said I think he was simply giving a speech and was speaking about Amal. The hand holding didn't last the whole event and basically was probably a minute or two at best .

I think George is happy and proud that Amal has the spotlight. But the DF often embellishes and hypes actual events so their account of George being upstaged is probably up to interpretation.

Some of us appreciate the handholding. Some of us don't. But if George wants to hold Amal's hand out in public that is his business. He doesn't usually care about what other people think when it comes to his personal life. His public persona is pretty much his personal persona .... at least it has been said by many who know him well.

I think he is definitely proud look at the smile on his face. I think we can be sure George doesn't care what other people think about his personal life. He is happy with it that is all that matters and should matter.
