Agreed about him looking delicious, with the couple extra pounds, and agreed that, yeah, well, he ain't no spring chicken. I think it's the grey that really ages him, he looks alot younger with a hat on.

Someone has posted the filming schedule for the next week or so. Twitter's Clooneywatch and Goslingwatch will be in full swing. It states they will be filming on the 28th, guess that means Oscars attendance would be a big no. Also makes me think that stand in Leverage was looking for was not for Ely as they start filming the new season on Monday in Portland as well.

George Clooney films at Xavier

CINCINNATI - George Clooney was at Xavier University, filming more scenes for his movie "The Ides of March."

9 News photographer Terry Helmer brought the 9 News satellite truck to be a part of a scene in the film Monday morning.

One scene involved a mock news conference near the Academic Mall area of Xavier's campus and another was Clooney walking with a woman drinking coffee on the outskirts of Xavier's campus.

The crew for "The Ides of March" heads to Oxford on Tuesday, to film for several days, including Friday when the film will demand over 700 extras from Miami University.

Miami University readies for George Clooney’s ‘Ides of March’

Hundreds of unpaid extras needed for Clooney movie on Green Beer Day

Updated 12:01 AM Tuesday, March 1, 2011
OXFORD — The curious eyes of students in the Farmer School of Business saw their building undergo a transformation Monday from an institution of higher learning to a Hollywood set as crews prepared for this week’s filming of “The Ides of March.”
Students lounged in the stairwells outside the building’s two-story atrium, normally an area set up as a lounge, where workers had removed the couches, tables and the grand piano to set up rows of tables covered in gray.
In one corner, beside a stack of boxes bearing Dell logos, a man sets up a bank of computers that he said will be a part of the set. A large red, white and blue sign reading “Ohio Democratic Party Debate” blocks a doorway to one of the lounges to the side. Up on the second level, technicians focused large lights on the scene below.
“I think this is a perfect place to film,” said Natalie Chlan, a freshman business student from Boston, eating her lunch on the steps. “We only know they’re here from hearsay, because no one’s really told us anything about it.”
“We only know because there’s been a lot of George Clooney sightings,” said her companion Shannon Balmac, a freshman from Cincinnati.
Sara Fagin, a sophomore from Columbus, had one of those Clooney sightings.
“We were in the library and someone posted on Facebook that he was here,” she said. “So we went running out there.”
She expected to see a big crowd of people, she said, but there was only Clooney and a couple of other men.
“There was no one around except for us and I felt really embarrassed,” Fagin said. “I didn’t say anything, but now I wish I had.”
Fagin and Carly Campbell, also a sophomore from Columbus, said that they didn’t sign up to be one of the 708 extras enlisted for a Thursday filming session set for Hall Auditorium. For them, Green Beer Day trumps spending 12 hours on set.
Kristen Krempp, however, got confirmation that she will be one of the unpaid extras, but she hasn’t heard when or where to report yet.
“I didn’t have much going on for Green Beer Day,” she said, “so it seemed like something else to do that would be kind of exciting.
“Who wouldn’t want to hang out with George Clooney all day?”
Miami University to play itself in Clooney project
Although university officials and the production company are playing their cards close to the vest, a few details over Miami University’s role in “The Ides of March” began to emerge Monday as crews readied the Farmer School of Business and Hall Auditorium for a week of production.
A large sign at the Farmer School of Business read “Ohio Democratic Primary Debate,” and tables were set up that could stand in as a press room or a boiler room for pollsters. Meanwhile, a surreptitious look inside Hall Auditorium revealed a stage being set up in a similar red, white and blue motif, and a call went out last week for 708 extras, which is close to the seating capacity for Hall Auditorium’s orchestra level.
So can we surmise that Miami University will be the site of a debate?
Oxford will apparently have to wait until the movie is released to find out.
All unit publicist Tracy Schaefer can say is, “Miami University plays Miami University in the film. It doesn’t stand in for anyone else.”
She did say that “The Ides of March” production will take place entirely in Oxford this week as crews focus on creating two sets and preparing for a few outdoor shots.
“The production liked the brick buildings and their architecture, which is reminiscent of a classic New England, Ivy league school,” Schaefer said. “The auditorium is featured as well as rooms in the business school.”
“We’ve heard for years that this is what a college is supposed to look like,” said Miami University spokeswoman Claire Wagner. “The people who created Miami University did a really good job of giving the campus a traditional appearance.”
Because the university is playing itself, the marketing department set out to make sure movie-goers knew that by creating a series of posters to hang in conspicuous areas.
“Anytime we can get the Miami name out there, we will,” said Tracy Hughes, director of marketing and creative services.
So Hughes and her staff created a series of posters advertising things like rugby and glee club try-outs that would have the Miami name featured prominently.
“They don’t normally make a point of putting ‘Miami University’ on their posters, because everyone knows where they are,” she said.
They also took a bunch of giant red ‘M’ stickers from the bookstore and posted them on garbage cans.
“Something like this movie is real point of pride for Miami alumni, students and staff,” she said.
Diana Durr, director of the Oxford Visitors and Convention Bureau, said that it’s too soon to tell what kind of economic impact this week will have on the community, but it could be in the $250,000 to $300,000 range.
“The hotels are telling me that the production company booked blocks of rooms for the week,” Durr said. “But I’m told that George Clooney and the stars will be staying in Cincinnati, though some of the other actors will be in town.”
She said that the bureau uses an established reporting process that considers the dining, parking and gasoline that members of the crew will spend money on during their visit.
“We’re looking forward to a very big week and will be excited to see it on the big screen,” Wagner said.

George Clooney will spend one day shooting ‘Ides of March’ in NYC this spring
FEBRUARY 28, 2011 ·

A couple weeks ago we tweeted that we had heard Ides of March would be shooting in NYC after wrapping in Cincinnati and Detroit, but didn’t have too many details until now.

Apparently, director and star George Clooney will only be spending one day in New York, which is tentatively scheduled for April 9 (this is also expected to be the last day of principal photography). Rumor has it the scene will involve The Charlie Rose Show and will be shot at the show’s NYC studio located at 731 Lexington Ave.

Clooney is currently filming Ides of March, about a Democratic governor campaigning in presidential primaries, in Cincinnati, Ohio. On Monday, March 7, production moves to Detroit, MI.

The movie also stars Ryan Gosling, Marisa Tomei, Evan Rachel Wood, Paul Giamatti, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright and Max Minghella.

Actor and Tri-State native George Clooney and crew continue to attract a crowd as they continue shooting for the new movie "The Ides of March." Today, filming shifts to another venue---the campus of Miami University.

It's finals week on the Miami campus--but a number of students are taking a break to be a part of the filming of Clooney's new movie. Today the cameras will be rolling at the Farmer School of Business on the campus in Oxford.

A spokesperson for the Oxford Convention and Visitor's Bureau says filming will also take place later in the week at Hall Auditorium--where Clooney, who plays a political candidate. will give a speech. The audience will consist of more than 700 extras---mostly Miami students.

Oxford police say the production company has hired off-duty officers to provide security. It also just so happens Clooney and company will be in town on Thursday for Green Beer Day.

"The Ides of March" is expected to make its box office debut in December.

News 5 Photographer Describes Day On 'Ides Of March' Set

OXFORD, Ohio -- News 5's Mark Hauss was one of two photographers who were responsible for live trucks sent as props for George Clooney's "The Ides Of March" shoot in Oxford on Tuesday. He describes his day on the set

Crew call for us was 7 a.m. as the sun was coming up.

Miami University is the setting for a political debate in the movie, so all four TV stations provided live trucks and satellite trucks for a touch of realism.

I was impressed that George was also there bright and early, blocking out shots, setting background for camera angles etc. He was very much the involved director.

There were three scenes shot outside the Farmer School of Business with the films stars and dozens of extras. The tv crews from our area even got a chance to be in the background shots.

There was one scene with me behind my camera doing a live shot with an extra acting like my reporter. The camera rolls, the assistant cameraman yells "speed!'', Clooney yells ''action,'' followed by lots of extras walking as directed and the major players delivering their lines.

When the shot was done Clooney yells "cut -- print it," just like you've seen on TV.

After the scene, Clooney was very polite, thanking everyone and telling them "Good job.''

Then the whole production crew swings into action breaking down all the props and lights moving very quickly to the next scene with no wasted effort. Quite impressive. Everyone knew just what to do and did it so they wouldn't slow down the progress.

When the outside scenes were done, we were told to break our live trucks down and we could go back to real news coverage.

News 5 Photographer Describes Day On 'Ides Of March' Set

March 1, 2011

Sorry, but I thought this person sounded like an idiot. What did he expect, George just to show up at the last minute, look through the camera, then leave. George is doing what ANY good director would be doing.

These pics and videos are amazing. Two questions - Is that really Bettabuns in the first photo? Second question - what do you make of the open mouthed facial expression in the photo with Grant? Can't decide if he is yelling, surprised at something or just looking to see if Eli is still around.

That's the problem with the weather - you can't id Ely by her tats as they are covered. I assume it is her. The hair is right. But she hasn't removed the hair extensions. What is shocking that she is on set and not getting front and centre for the paps covering the filming. The lack of pap shots of her is odd. She could be under instruction to not draw attention to herself in his parent's town. Betty on best behaviour - how long will that last? Or just maybe the press don't care about her there, all they care about is the hometown boy made good. I'm more shocked that some Italian pap hasn't turned up to get happy families shots to run back home.

Laetval - Ely may be the woman at the front of the picture with her back to the camera in the grey coat in that singular picture that was posted by you yesterday. It is an assumption that it is most likely her. It fits with her physical shape & hair but there is no confirmation yet.

If it is Ely, she got in another interview before she left Italy. She is in the new Diva & Donna in what I assume is a San Remo wrapup interview. Can be located at:

If anyone wants to translate, great. It is most likely the same old stuff being said again.

I don't think Eli would be there and it wouldn't be mentioned. There was a news crew there they would have said something. we also would have more then one fuzzy shot. I'm sure there are brunettes in the cast and crew with extensions. It could be her but then it might not be. I'm on the more unlikely it being her side. Merely because it would have been mentioned and we would have more shots of her.
