A newly published story says George Clooney’s wife Amal has become insecure about her body after now being photographed so much, but it is not true. Gossip Cop looked into the claim and can exclusively report it’s 100 percent inaccurate.
According to an article in OK!, after Amal Clooney began dating her movie star husband back in October 2013, she went from being a “barely known lawyer to worldwide fashionista,” and began worrying that everyone was focusing “on her waistline.” A so-called source tells the tabloid, “Amal became really insecure about her body after seeing photos of herself all over the place,” and so she “lost eight pounds before the wedding.” And now with even more attention on her, she’s continuing to diet, notes the magazine, which quotes its source as saying, “Amal survives on two tiny meals a day.”
Of course, OK! is the very same outlet that reported Clooney was getting “cold feet” about marrying his wife; that the couple was fighting over his drinking; and that exclaimed on its cover that Amal was “pregnant.” Gossip Cop corrected all three of those falsehoods (and more) from the tabloid. Anyway, we reached out to Clooney’s rep, who tells us exclusively that the newest story from OK! is also entirely “fabricated.”

Anyone with eyes can see she lost weight between the initial pics together and the wedding.  The reason given in the article may be "fabricated", but she's dropped more weight than she had to spare (which was none).

Like a lot of women before their weddings she lost weight. Some may think she looks bad I happen to think she looks fine. She is the only one that knows if she has lost too much weight or not. Like all women we know what weight we feel and look our best at no matter what others think.

In fact, all women don't know what weight they "feel and look their best at".  Those suffering from bulimia and anorexia and body dysmorphia don't view their bodies or their weight clearly.  I'm not saying Amal has an eating disorder, and not even that she looks bad.  But the fact remains she is significantly thinner than she was when we first met her, and thin does not always equal healthy.  

On the other hand, maybe if we stopped making women's weight a topic of public discussion, everyone would just settle at a weight that actually did feel and look best to them.

I don't think she has lost that much weight. We really haven't seen too many pictures of her before George. Those I have seen her arms look a bit larger but the rest of her I'm not sure. Like Annemarie said the wedding could have something to do with it. Also just falling in love could cause you to lose. There is also the fact, we now know, that she stopped smoking, so she may have been concerned about gaining weight so she maybe started working out more. With all the short dresses, etc. I've seen her in she has incredibly toned legs.. That comes from exercising. That doesn't come naturally. Stacey had the same toned legs. Anyway, the usual BS from a tabloid like OK Mag.

She lost weight and the fact that she lost weight and stopped smoking at the same time suggest some serious dieting. 

In my opinion her body looks nothing like Stacys. Stacy looks very toned, like she is training a lot. Amal just look skinny, the way Angelina or Posh look skinny. And that is extreme dieting to me. There are certain pics where Amal's arms and legs looks very strange because she has no meat on them, it looks like holes in the arms and legs. And I think Amal will continue to look skinny because she is now a fashion icon. I think this is what she wants to be.  

And blaming it on the media doesn’t work with me. The media didn't arrange the 4 day spectacle in Venice or all the designer outfits or Anna Wintour's appearance.

George is the son of a journalist and always knew how to work the media and so does Stan. Baria is a journalist and probably a publicist as well. This is a big roll out of the next female icon and it has been succesful so far. But the mistake they are making is too many pics and too many descriptions of how perfect Amal is.

From the limited number of pics we have her before she met George she looks pretty much the same to me. Different camera angles and outfits can make it look like weight gain/loss. I don't think anyone should be commenting on her weight. I am naturally slim and I get sick of people telling me to gain weight..

I'm also very slim and at 5'8" people will call me skinny too. It annoys me sometimes because they think I don't eat much. I'm a very hearty eater. But I work out to keep in shape because I want to and it makes me feel good. I think Amal is in control of how she wants to look. She obviously does work out. Just look at the way her legs are sculpted. If you are skinny and don't work out your legs are not going to look toned.

I don't think anyone is manipulating her. Amal is her own woman and from what I've read about her a pretty confident one too.

I am thin and very happy to be so ', you can dress however you want, you can move easily, joints and back do not suffer, I would have problems if I were overweight because they'd like me to myself!

I think when you are already thin, then it shows a lot more when you have lost a bit of weight. And I think she has and I think she's too thin now. Before, she looked just fine.

I agree with Codexchick - when you are petit and slender as Amal is naturally, 5 pounds on or off can look like a big change.  In my humble opinion, she is not doing anything different than any other woman would do (or I would do) if you are suddently thrown in the spotlight.  She seems to be wanting to look her best at all times.  I think most people try to do so. Especially if you know there will be cameras following your every breath.

When did she become petite?  Thought she was about 5'6 or 5'8.  In heels, she's taller than his Nibbs.

Tell me, what workout does one do that tones the legs so well from hip to toe, but leaves the musculature of the butt flat as a pancake?

My guess is that she has dieted (judging by the change in contour of her face, the breasts, and arms), does work out but not excessively so (for one thing, her arms/shoulders aren't that great), and has probably had a little assistance from a laser or two. Again, my opinion.

It's her body, and she can do with it what she wants. She wears her clothes like a pro, and George likes thin women. I doubt that the opinion of the internet league outweighs that.

If she is happy with the way she looks that is all that matters. We can assume we know best but only she knows how she feels and looks her best.

I agree. You can see from her body that she is not into health and fitness it's just thinness and there has been a significant loss of body fat. Looking at her knees and legs in this picture says it all.

Stacy has an amazing body that is very attractive and toned. Basically the body most women aspire to have and most men find sexy. Amal does not have that kind of body. I don't agree that George likes "thin" women as someone said here. Lisa Snowden and Celine were slim and attractive and so was Elisabetta. Amal is the first Clooney consort that I've seen where you are looking at her and thinking - this woman is skeletal. But then again, I don't think that George has married her because he finds her sexually attractive at all. I think he's married her for other reasons. 

Look at the collarbone in the below picture. And look at the left arm. The skin is hanging from her. I hate to say it but I will - this woman would look a fright naked. Because if her public areas are this thin you would probably be able to count her ribs with her clothes off. This woman has hardly any body fat at all. George's ex's - were slim BUT not skeletal. I can't imagine a man being passionately attracted to such a skeletal woman. Unless he has an anorexia fetish. Remember George dated Krista Allen in the past who had a body similar to Stacey's.

Amal is not that photogenic and has to make a HUGE effort - designer clothes, makeup artist, hairstylist to look good.

Well I will agree that if she looks thin here on pictures that in person she'll look much much thinner.

But the same can be said of George, I've seen him in person and was struck by how much thinner he is in real life.  I mean you stand less than a foot away from someone like George and he looks up from signing something you give him with those big brown eyes, you don't really care how thin he looks!  He's more handsome in person if that's even possible.

I missed your comment. I was surprised I didn't see a lot of talk about it on the internet know how those wardrobe malfunctions can go viral.  Thought it was just my eyes!  LOL

I never saw any comment on this either , and your eyes are just fine!!!!

Amal's legs are all muscle. If anyone cannot see that get glasses. She has skinny but muscular legs. When she is walking you can SEE the muscle definition. I looked at the image posted above that is supposed to support that idea she is not fit and what you see is muscle tone. Having bony knees has nothing to do with it. She has slim arms. Nothing hanging there.

The wardrobe malfunction- When I first saw that picture I thought it was a nip slip but looking again I think that shadowy area is too far off to the side of her breast to be her nip. Maybe it's a scar. I didn't notice it in any of the other pictures of her that evening. Could have been a defect in the picture.

I don't think there's any debate that her legs are toned. And it's obvious to me that she likes to highlight them as one of her best features (the shorts, the dresses high-cut in the front). The question some of us have is how she achieved her current body.

And, just to be clear, I'm not saying that anything she did means she has a body image issue.

IMO it's not a body image issue, it's a wife image issue.

Globalchick--you need to go back to the many threads that discuss Stacy's weight loss while she was with George.  Hopefully she is not extreme dieting anymore.

Donnamarie-disagree about the wardrobe malfunction--that is definitely her areola.  Yes you can see the muscles on her legs.  Is that due to a lack of body fat or that they are toned? I don't know.

Amal Alamuddin Anorexic – George Clooney’s Wife Overwhelmed By Celebrity Status, Starving Herself?

I don't think there's nothing wrong with the photo.  the dress has just slipped down too far.

This article isn't as bad as I expected from the link. I can believe she lost weight before the wedding and is trying to stay model thin, but I don't believe she's anorexic or bulemic. I think she's a thin woman who lost too much weight due to stress. She needs to put some of the weight back on - maybe she will once their lives settle into a "normal" routine.

Celebitchy also has a new article on Amal's eating issues and extreme weight loss. 

I can't believe George and Stan seem to want this kind of publicity for her. Yet the planted stories e.g. about the hairdresser continue as they keep thrusting her in the spotlight.  And so many celebrities went as George and Amal characters at Halloween. They've become a joke, a caricature, a figure of fun. Is this what George and Stan want? Can they possibly be deluded enough to think this is good for George's career? Can Amal be deluded enough to think this will make her a respected lawyer? I don't get it.

I can't see how this makes her respected as a "human rights lawyer". She's coming across like a self absorbed freak. Or is any publicity good publicity?

Maybee any publicity is good for George at this point. He moved up to nr 13 on the vulture list. Seems like Gravity making money and all the tabloid mentioning had a lot to do with that. Not sure how important lists like that are in Hollywood but they probably mean something. 

For Amal's career being a dressup figure for Halloween and all the articles about weight/hair/make-up/cloths is probably not a good thing. She is a lawyer. Publicity is good, her "boss" and Greece certainly used that for the marbles. But I doubt this is good publicity for her.

I think she and G had a fight before they got into car for the English party. And no photos for a week except that one twitter photo of George. Hmmm...

I don't know whether they're planting stories or not, but you certainly can't hold them responsible for other people dressing up as them for Halloween. They're a famous, glamorous, good-looking couple who have just had a wedding that caught the eyes of the whole world - one of the biggest celebrity stories of the year. Who wouldn't want to be them - if only for Halloween? Lighten up!

Let say, yes, you're correct.  It's all a publicity stunt.  But then my question is why the fuck do you care?

It's not like George's life is in anyway affecting YOU.  Are his decisions affecting your ability to work, to pay your bills, to have a roof over your head, to live?

Most of us, not all I will admit, are JUST fans. And we make comments and post opinions but your comments are bordering on obsessive.

Why such angst about HIS decisions?  You really should take a long hard look in the mirror and ask yourself why you're so obsessed with a guy whose life in NO WAY AFFECTS YOUR DAY-TO-DAY LIFE.

The only thing you are doing to YOURSELF is making it look like to people all over the world that you have some screws loose.

Geesh maybe you should take a break from following George and what his life entails if it causes you so much angst and makes you post nothing but negative after negative comments.
