George Clooney Lounges in Italy with Family After Obtaining Marriage License

George Clooney helps his family and friends onto the port after docking a boat on Wednesday (August 6) in Lake Como, Italy.

News spread that same day that the 53-year-old actor and his fiancee Amal Alamuddin obtained their marriage license!

No word yet on when George and Amal will be tying the knot, but we sure hope it will be soon and we can’t wait to hear all the details about the big day.

Also, is anyone else disappointed by the small number of comments in this thread? It's GEORGE CLOONEY everyone! Practically naked. Well ok, not really, but you know. A bad photo of his wedding banns gets 77 comments (and counting) whereas all these wonderful photos get 9 comments?

I'm just trying to figure out what the hell they're doing. Did a group go pontooning or something? Where's Boat? Why is everybody so far from it that a raft is required? Why is no one wearing a life jacket? What is George holding, and why does he look so thin?

Maybe we haven't seen him in so long because of this sea rescue operation.

It looks to me like he has actually gained weight which was much needed.  He's definitely stockier than he was a few months ago.  Looking more healthy.

His partner in life, is getting more attention, for all the wrong reasons. His star is in the decent.  Everyone loves a wedding? don't they? So you have to stick around for that!  Then it may be case of Good Night, and Good Luck, from his regular fans.

Mel -   Many thanks for the pics. I don't know how I missed them yesterday  . Anyway, glad I found them today - I was getting withdrawl pains. I hate to encourage the paps, but I think the only pics we're going to see for a while will come from them - longshots when he's out making preparations for the big day. At this point I'll take what I can get.

There's lovely now.....I can get to work on those soon.

They don't wear life jackets on these trips. He looks good and not too thin. I think the interest is in the bride and the wedding . I still love George and to me it is great to know there will be no more who will he date next . He and Amal will be together and a new chapter will begin for all of us.

Dito. He is better than ever, I just have to get use to a married GTC like many others. But he is more than the overuse good looks. Who will never be outshined by Amal, heres hoping the shine brightly together.

I think the 77 was from the shock (for lack of a better word) of the word "license" , sort of as when the word "engaged" was introduced.  Mental meltdown.  All energy geared in that direction.
