They have just celebrated their first Christmas as a married couple.

And three months after their lavish Italian wedding, George and Amal Clooney decided to enjoy the festive occasion with close friend Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber.

The newlyweds were spotted soaking up the balmy climes in the beautiful scenic holiday destination of Los Cabos, Mexico, on Friday.

Dressed in a plain white T-shirt and beachwear shorts, the 53-year-old actor appeared to be in great and relaxed spirits as he chatted away to his party.



Amal, 36, cut a stylish figure in a red and white striped maxi dress, which she teamed with a classy straw hat and a slick set of shades.

It’s hardly surprising both couples spent their vacation together, as the close acquaintances have neighbouring houses inside their compound, Casamigos, which means House of Friends.

Kicking back: The group appeared to be in great and relaxed spirits as they happily chatted away 

Rande, 52, previously told Architecture Digest that it has long been their second home, by revealing: 'Long before the houses were built, we would travel to Baja together, staying at different hotels and drinking tequila.'

The idea to create their holiday compound came up between the friends as they wanted a place they could come every year when they finally have children.

'We saw this oceanfront lot and thought maybe it made sense to build something,’ explained Cindy. 'Once we had kids, we would go on vacation at Christmas. But you’d have to book hotels a year in advance, and then you’d get there and they never quite lived up to expectations.'

Later adding: 'Our lives go back and forth. We’ll have cocktails at our place and dinner at George’s, and vice versa.'



This year, of course, they have something more to celebrate with the Hollywood star brining his new bride.



George and Amal tied the knot in a beautiful Italian wedding ceremony at Venice's Aman Candal Grande Hotel on September 27, after dating for a year.

Life's a beach for George and Amal Clooney as they spend Christmas in Mexico

THIS may be their first Christmas as husband and wife but George and Amal Clooney opted to celebrate the festive season surrounded by white sand and good friends.

The newlyweds, who tied the knot two months ago in Venice, joined George's long time friends former supermodel Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber for a sunny vacation in Mexico earlier this week.

So far the two couples have been spotted lounging at George's El Dorardo Beach club in Los Cabos, which is located at the southern tip of Mexico's Baja California Peninsula.

Also on the trip are Randy and Cindy's children Presley 15, and 13-year-old Kaia.

Dressed for his surroundings George kept his look casual in a relaxed beach ensemble featuring a plain white T-shirt and shorts.

Meanwhile, Amal, 36, looked typically stylish in a red and white striped maxi dress, which she paired with a straw hat and shades to conceal her eyes.

The foursome's holiday homes are neighbouring houses inside their compound, Casamigos, which means House of Friends.

A source told E! News: "They are all getting along great and everyone looks happy. They snacked on chips on the beach in front of their property."

Cindy, 48, previously opened up about the reason why she loves spending Christmas at the beautiful scenic location and said: "We saw this oceanfront lot and thought maybe it made sense to build something.

Hurray, Santa finally brought my gift... a photo of George not wearing a Cassamigo  blue tee shirt.  Oh happy day

He probably spilled so much tequila on it that even Amal got sick of it.

Do these reporters ever check their facts George does not own the El Dorado beach club.

Looks like a totally different mood from the first pics.

I had to laugh at the way the Express described George wearing a "relaxed beach ensemble featuring a plain white T and shorts". Was that a sarcastic remark or were they serious? These media outlets like Daily Mail and Express do such a pathetic job of writing the filler to accompany the pics in their articles. Full of half truths, innuendo and serious fluff. Hardly any real news to report. That's the problem. They have nothing to report.

Daily mail has new pictures Nick and Nina are there with them.
