Things I'd like to ask George?

Post by NewFanForever on Thu 27 Mar 2014, 11:59

Ok girls help me out...or any newbies post your questions...lets see if we can find the answers!

Lets get real and honest and get to know George!

Does George like Chocolate?

What is his favourite Colour?

Where did he get his pig from...would he ever get another?

How tall is he?

Does he ever cook?

I think he has a boat...not sure...Does he have a boat license and can he drive....does he fish?

So far I have him up for President...but would he also be interested in a gig like Larry King?

I feel he would be great for this also! Either of these roles in no particular order...lol..

Good questions! I've just moved this to the section for asking questions about George. The 'party in the kitchen' section is for all non-Clooney related stuff.

I would try

Does George like Chocolate? yes, dark

What is his favourite Colour? purple

Where did he get his pig from...would he ever get another? after some filming
and no, Max satisfied all his pigs need

How tall is he? 1,80 cm

Does he ever cook? yes, we saw hamburgers and I read about some Chinese plus his fried turkey experiments and Sunday morning BBQ with friends

I think he has a boat...not sure...Does he have a boat license and can he drive....does he fish? he has 2 boats in Como and I hope he has a license! ( he surely has, he drove them many times) he also said he likes the calm of fishing little fishes on lake Como near his home

So far I have him up for President...but would he also be interested in a gig like Larry King? no

Did it hurt a lot when he didn't get the Oscar for Directing Good Night & Good Luck ?

IMO he was robbed blind !!

How tall is he? 1,80 cm

What is that in American? Six-one or so?

My questions:

How much jazz do toy have on your playlists (that you really listen to)? What song do you play most?

What's the last book you read?

Baseball or football?

What side of the bed do you sleep on?

Do you write better during the day or at night?

When's the last time you called your parents? ...had dinner with your sister?

Favorite scene from a movie?

What's your favorite thing to snack on in the middle of the night?

Top 3 things on your 'bucket list?'
'
Boxers or briefs? (Hoping he says those combo thingies with the no-band waist. God, what a visual.)

OK no personals from me, strictly business…

so, things that only happen in movies and are the most annoying ones?

(For me I go nuts when there's always a parking spot. Right out front of EVERYWHERE! Not here, I can tell you. I also stopped watching Tarzan when little, because he never seemed to grow a beard and yet living in jungle?!?)

Other question could be, what was your childhood nickname? (parents called you and necessarily noone else knew abut this name)

Yes, I've always wondered how Mr. Clooney smells like up close.
I know this forum wrote about how he smells  fresh all the time and that he's favorite scent is Green Irish tweed by Creed. (someone correct me if am wrong). I think they are simple little things that anyone could be curious about him, as a private person.

There's really no need to know what he likes to eat, his favorite color, what side of the bed he likes to sleep on, his preference of underwear,
but they are fun things to talk about because we love him.

But, when Miss Katie gets annoyed she likes making me the fall guy.

It's ok, I love you too Katie  Very Happy

I think that one of his most important qualities he looks for in a relationship/friendship is loyalty.

Why is this hype made about GC? And when did it start?

Background of my question is as follows: GC is a very good actor, very talented director/producer and sucessfull, IMO. But he is definitely not the only one. His humanitarian work is well-known and appreciated. He is very handsome and dapper, but again: He is not the only one.

While reading the journals and internet sites which were mentioned in this forum, I got the impression that such a hype about the private life / love life is only made about GCs. The resulting pressure on his gf is huge. Here and there GC was complaining about the lack of private life. Some people are saying that this hype has been orchestrated by GC himself as of a particular time of his career. If this is true, it brings the Sorcerer’s Apprentice by Goethe to my mind, saying “I have need of Thee from the spirits that I called. “

So, maybe the longtime fans of you can help me to clear that stuff.

Hi Lizzy,

My question is actually a bit snarky. I find it "interesting" (with dubious overtones) for an award winning actor and director to work for a company like Disney. Don't get me wrong. Having raised four girls, there was a LOT of Disney in our household...but I see Disney as the McDonald's fast food restaurant of the moviemaking world: generic, broadly appealing fare that is efficiently produced, but with a reliable, comfortable homogeneity that is not always the best influence. (successful, no doubt-- even to the farthest flung corners of the globe, with long lasting effects -- not unlike an easily transmissible virus.)
Therefore, quite sincerely, I would be interested in his take on the decision to make Tomorrowland.

I think the main reason for his decision to take this is Brad Bird, a great director you can't turn down. Same for Gravity because he admires Alfonso.

@IM Sorcerer's Apprentice... wonderful short!

@Joanna: Fantasia is in my top 25 favorite movies! Not denying Disney has produced some beautiful, classic work. Just weighted now with other baggage, IMO.

@Sevens: Many thanks. Brad Bird. So decision more explicable.
I would still love to hear his reasoning as Disney can be a poison pill.

I'm betting this is one film where he's not working for scale. He's probably getting a bundle upfront and maybe even a piece of the back end. After all, he does need to refill the bank account occasionally so he can finance all the projects he's involved in.

Right Lizzy. He has said that when they make a movie where they are doing all the production jobs them self as with MM; it takes them about 3 years from conception to completion. With all the preparation and creating that it takes to make a movie it would be that long. With certain movies, that he likes to make; he knows he is not going to earn a ton of money.

So he takes high paying acting roles in tent-poles etc., to help with the funding of others. He also is aware that he still needs to spend a certain amount of time in front of the camera to keep himself in this higher bracket which he is in right now. In other words to maintain his popularity and the level of influence he has achieved. I think that is a factor in him deciding to act in MM, e.g. the studios like Sony know he is a big draw when he acts.

I also think with "Tomorrowland," he might have negotiated a deal to get a certain amount up-front, but also a percentage at the back-end. I remember him saying that he has not taken his full amount up-front since, "The Perfect Storm."

@Sevens - I don't think he really has a second language. He's been trying to learn Italian for years and still speaks it very badly (according to him). He may have picked up a smattering of other languages in his travels - a few words or phrases - but I don't think he's fluent in anything other than English.

Yeah Italian can be very hard...maybe he should try German or French. Amal can teach him French.
One of my roommates learned German for a year...she felt it's hard too but still intreresting to learn.  Very Happy
