Germany has big issues if it comes to music rights even if it's just playing in the background. GEMA is a pain in the ass..... Was she in the background of George or how did you see her? Did she just walk the red carpet or standing somewhere? Maybe I find a video like this again on youtube which I can watch.

I just saw her walking on the red carpet towards the cinema with her mother as many other things were going on. His Nibs and everyone else in the cast were being photographed like mad of course, and many many PR people. Gold strapless top, carrying coat. I think she must have walked past him, but to be honest it sort of explains to me why he left the hotel so early......he was one of the first there.......unless of course the video people cut in the wrong sequence......sorry you can't see it.

It opened in London the first week of February, right? So, a month before the safari etc vacation, and about 2 1/2 months before the engagement. So they were serious, but she's not doing the Red Carpet Girlfriend Roll-out. Good for her.

I'm guessing they both know she'll never be able to sneak down another red carpet again.

Mm, well what I find interesting is that no member of the press noticed this, given the publicity given to the Berners Tavern dinner date.....maybe that's the merit in having an enormous cast all over the red carpet........very, very busy. Saw lots of other minor personalities walking thro too who had not stopped for the photographers

Maybe the fact that it was so busy made him feel it was safe to bring/invite her. If there were a lot of "minor" celebrities there she could go and not be associated with him and she could still get a feel for what a premiere is like.

Sevens, he was bending down and talking to Anne Oliver Bell, the 97 yr old Monuments Man in a wheelchair, and her family - which is how I came to find it when there was a conversation about George not being sure of who he was at times.

Interesting tho. If you look at the videos of that evening he does seem to be looking around a lot when he's interviewed.......

at the time of watching the live stream....."His scarf looks looks like
a classy English one" so maybe she gave it to him because of
the inclement London weather.

Safe, as in the "security threats" he spoke of? or safe as in the revealing of a relationship he didn't want publicity for?

I think more appropriate dressing would have helped ensured safety. It looks like a freezing night, and she is the only girl bare shouldered, no coat, no wrap.

Yes, good idea to get the feel of whats to come. She does walk as if born to it.

Alisonfan - I meant "relationship" safe - that she could get lost in the crowd and nobody would realize that she was with him.

I think she dressed appropriately. It was a premiere and many women were dressed up. If you're talking about dressing for the weather, I beleive she was carrying a coat.

20/20 hindsight...With all of the people at the premiere and walking the red carpet, she certainly would have been allowed to bring a guest so why not her mom? Why was this the moment that she "knew she had him?" With his past dating history, I don't think any woman could have been secure thinking that they had him.
