George Clooney has a problem with Canadian bills


George Clooney may be flush with cash, but that causes him a certain amount of discomfort in Canada. The "Gravity" star has recently been in British Columbia filming his upcoming sci-fi mystery "Tomorrowland," and he's not too impressed with the new Canadian dollar bills.
"Here's the thing about these Canadian dollars, I was just in Vancouver, I'm surprised you can even get this thing to fold, they don't fold," he told ET Canada. "And they're so clear you can see through them."
"Tomorrowland" started shooting in August in Vancouver and the Okanagan. In September, Clooney cropped up a number of times in Vancouver where he posed with some super excited fans. “OMG GEORGE CLOONEY IS AT MY BAR HOLY S--- LOL” tweeted @Hamhuishipcheck when she saw the 52-year-old actor at Joey’s at Robson and Burrard. Clooney also posed with fans outside Minami restaurant.
But even though he might have been having trouble with his Canuck money around that time, these days he's more concerned about Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. Clooney recently responded to a joke the duo made about the actor's love life while they were hosting the Golden Globes earlier this month.
"'Gravity' is nominated for best film," Fey said. "It's the story of how George Clooney would rather float away into space and die than spend one more minute with a woman his own age."
Ever the gentleman, Clooney praised the joke as "well crafted" but sent Fey and Poehler a playful warning.
"They have poked the bear with a stick. Oh, they have poked the bear," he told Access Hollywood. "I don't want to scare Amy or Tina — I don't want them to be afraid at all — but, uh, they've poked the bear."

I haven't seen any Canadian money, but I know that a lot of countries now use this 'plastic' type of paper, which often comes with see-through patches. Maybe that's what he means?

Yep here in Aus we have been using plastic money for decades that has a see through portion, easily slips through your fingers HA

You know, I was almost going to write that I remembered that about Aussie dollars, then left it out. The bank of England want to change our pounds to this new style too.

You get used to it and its harder to counterfeit apparently.
