I was at my little one room school. 10 yrs old. When I heard, I was struck with a feeling like the end of the world had come. I had only seen a little of him on TV, talking about the things America needed, the world needed. he was to me a driven man. Needed to do so many things. but He had so much blockage from opposition. But in that moment, it certainly felt like the world had gone all wrong. I remember that feeling, tho I was much too young to understand that really. I couldn't stop crying. that whole day. The teacher sent us home but told us tearfully to be careful on our way home. We all had to walk to our homes. Mine was pretty far, but not too far.
