USC Cinematic Arts | 5D Institute is delighted to announce a presentation with Andy Nicholson, Production Designer. Andy will be introduced by renown professor Bruce Block. After his presentation the Q&A will be mediated by editor Bill Desowitz (Immersed In Movies).
“We are all aware of the destructive disconnect that can occur when for whatever reason the design department and the visual effects pipeline do not synchronize in preproduction. In Gravity we all experienced the opposite ...Gravity could not have been achieved without the design/vfx synergy, and it suggests a model for the future of these hybrid films...”

Hybrid films... yes that and all other hybrid things... food, cars, dog breeds
