Putting this about the paparazzi tracking George down in berlin here as it's not really much to do with the film. Thanks Henway for the find:

On the hunt for the U.S. star
Two paparazzi in Berlin want to "shoot" with all the (photo-) means George Clooney

In Focus ...
BERLIN - It's a cramped, simple room, in which Andy M. (32) and Michael K. (42) are waiting again. The view from the window moves across the Spree to an old factory. Here on this day George Clooney is still expected to emerge. When, is uncertain. The hotel, which the two young men have rented should not be named as a precaution and also Andy and Michael would like to remain anonymous. "That might otherwise bring trouble quickly," says Andy. And trouble he gets in his career as a paparazzo very often. They pay 60 euros for six hours at the hotel. Their job: to "shoot" Clooney. Even better if they can get Matt Damon and Cate Blanchett, who the 51-year-old Oscar winner has hired for his latest film project "The Monuments Men," with him.

Andy and Michael are paparazzi. For the right shot they often wait for hours - in hotel rooms, behind fences or in parked cars. Previously, Andy was a detective. "You learn that," he says. They were on a chase with bodyguards and were arrested when they tried to photograph in southern France through the fence of the neighboring property, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. When you type in Google Robert De Niro and John Travolta, the first hit is a vacation photo that Andy took of the two friendly actors on a yacht in Greece. "That ran worldwide," he says proudly. How do you get such a photo? "Inspiration," says Andy. One doesn't talk about contacts and money in the industry willingly.

Today Clooney takes just half an hour to drive from the center to the east of the capital. The actor has lived in Berlin since November. Every public sighting of the star is to the local press an important news story: for example, Clooney likes to eat and often prefers a juicy steak in the trendy Grill Royal. Clooney walks too. Since he came to Berlin, the 51 year old has a hipster mustache. And he lives - of course - in a fine private club, the Soho House, where you could meet him in the evening at the bar. Theoretically. Because whoever wants to go to Soho House needs a membership card or good contacts. In the morning he gets into a BMW X5 with tinted windows and drives to work. On this day, Clooney bites into an apple and Andy pulls the trigger. "We've got him," he says with satisfaction.

Later, Andy works exclusively. Shooting is now in the ancient halls of the Wilhelminenhofstraße in Oberschöneweide. Before the halls are security forces with guard dogs. The hotel in which Andy and Michael have taken up their positions, lies on the other side of the river Spree.

Clooney in Berlin, says Andy, is not only interesting in Germany. "The Americans also want to see." In Hollywood, he knows that there is a rumor that Berlin could still offer privacy. "That's, of course, long gone," Michael corrected. He himself is the best proof that he is right. Singer Chris de Burgh, who unleashed his bodyguard in front of a Berlin restaurant on Andy must also have realised this. Only the photographer was bepöbelt, then threatened. The video can be viewed on Youtube. Even U.S. comedian Shia LaBeouf responded little amused when Andy was the first who greeted him at the airport Tegel. The story of LaBeouf's airport brawl during the Berlinale Andy delivered immediately.

When Clooney received his estranged girlfriend Stacy Keibler and she needed to buy tea for colds for the 51-year-old, Andy and Michael were also present. "They're trying to hide until they realize that it no longer makes sense. Then they are mostly decent", says Andy.

He interrupts. Michael has Matt Damon in his sights. Now it has to be fast. Andy sits behind the window, Michael is on the stand. "I got him. He's just going into his trailer, "he says. "Nerd" jokes back Andy. For now the job is done. (By Nora Lysk)

As much as we love getting pictures; I really think it's sad for George to have to go through all that. There are times that you're just not in the mood to have a picture taken or a place.

Makes me feel guilty for looking at the pics. I can't imagine always being "on." Think it would get old very fast.

This is normal stuff for the paps. Endless waiting around, hanging around in boats, jumping into water, all to get that exclusive shot which will go worldwide, and make a bomb for their agency. Most of them are signed up to agencies, eg Getty, Bauer Griffin. So not necessarily megabucks for them

There was a good documentary series on TV here about the London paps. Two spend hours at Heathrow if they get a tip off.
Very interesting programme...and amusing too.
