In Gröben everything was ready but the Hollywood star was not.

GROEBEN - George Clooney is sick. This the MAZ [the newspaper Maerkischeallgemeine zeitung) experienced yesterday when they waited in vain at the Gröbener Landhotel "Theodore F." to get the superstar before the lens.

Deserted the village, where for theatrical and television films so much is shot. The kitchens of "Theodore F." were a hive of activity since early morning: the Babelsberg film studios had ordered 40 places for 1pm to 2pm. Two courses to choose from, of which there should be one vegetarian, Serviervorgabe 30 minutes.

Neither Heine nor Joyce Winkler, Nancy Kadar nor Elke Petersdorf were over excited. The latter had already "worked with numerous stunts". All four had as always "fun". Yesterday they had come specially for the film people who are in the region to design search for "The Monuments Men" - the film about Nazi-looted art, in which George Clooney, producer, director and stars. GRÖBEN - George Clooney ist krank. Das musste die MAZ gestern erfahren, als sie vergebens im Gröbener Landhotel „Theodore F.“ wartete, um den Superstar vor die Linse zu bekommen.

Wie ausgestorben das Dorf, in dem so gern für Kino- und Fernsehfilme gedreht wird. In der Küche vom „Theodore F.“ wurde seit früh gewirbelt: Die Filmstudios Babelsberg hatten 40 Plätze für 13 bis 14 Uhr bestellt. Zwei Gerichte zur Wahl sollte es geben, eins davon vegetarisch, Serviervorgabe 30 Minuten. Ob Clooney dabei sein würde, das wusste Pächter und Küchenchef Torsten Heine vorgeblich oder wirklich nicht. „Man weiß, dass wir diskret sind. Wer kommt, tut auch nichts zur Sache – jeder hat das Recht, gut zu essen.“ Zu essen gab es für 36 Filmleute „Kross gebratene Perlhuhnbrust auf Orangen-Mohn-Risotto mit Ingwer-Karotten-Gemüse“ oder „Frische Bandnudeln mit Rucola, getrockneten Tomaten, Oliven und Pecorino“.

Aufgeregt beim Bedienen war weder Heine noch Joyce Winkler, Nancy Kadar oder Elke Petersdorf. Letztere hatte schon „mit etlichen Stunts gearbeitet“. Alle vier hatten wie stets „viel Spaß“. Gestern waren sie extra für die Filmleute gekommen, die in der Region auf Motivsuche sind für „The Monuments Men“ – das Filmprojekt über Nazi-Beutekunst, bei dem George Clooney Produzent, Regisseur und Hauptdarsteller ist. very vera wrote:if work is so important maybe skip the oscars but keep doing the movie. although i don't think he would do that.....if it's anxiety and unhappiness then he needs to figure out what would make him happier. just because the red carpet looks so good for a while soon if you aren't happy that red carpet may look dirt brown if you know what i mean....

PRECISELY. Forcing himself all the time will undermine him in the long run. THERE NEEDS TO BE A BALANCE!

He's reached the top of his league, achieved so much in terms of work... He should focus on HIS own personal needs too.

There could have been a misunderstanding between the studio and the town and he was never scheduled to go in the first place.
