The next superstar has Görlitz on the radar

Görlitz - Just when U.S. director Wes Anderson (43) finished filming the high-profile "The Grand Hotel Budapest" in Gorlitz, comes the next exciting message.

Supposedly George Clooney (51, "Ocean's Eleven") has his eye on the film set of Goerlitz. In March Clooney starts his new film project "The Monuments Men" - this time as an actor and director. For this he visited several cities in East Germany in 2012, and looked at different locations.

In Quedlinburg Clooney was spotted at a restaurant. As a result of the trip, Görlitz will now also be a possible location .

In the film it comes to historians, during the 2nd Wanted to save World War treasures. Besides Clooney, Daniel Craig (44, "James Bond"), Matt Damon (42, "Bourne Identity") and Cate Blanchett (43, "The Aviator") also star.

In Quedlinburg wurde Clooney in einem Restaurant gesichtet. Als Ergebnis der Reise soll nun auch Görlitz ein möglicher Drehort sein.

In dem Film geht es um Historiker, die während des 2. Weltkrieges Kunstschätze retten wollten. Neben Clooney sollen Daniel Craig (44, „James Bond“), Matt Damon (42, „Bourne Identität“) und Cate Blanchett (43, „Aviator“) mitspielen.

Eyes on Brandenburg! Hollywood star George Clooney is being seen more frequently in Germany. For filming, he has set up an office in Studio Babelsberg.

Also, Matt Damon and Daniel Craig are expected.

Oscar winner George Clooney is now regularly in Potsdam. As a director and producer of "The Monuments Men" where he has his own office at Studio Babelsberg. The 51-year-old, who will also play the lead role in the thriller is preparing to shoot in Brandenburg and Berlin. The start will be in March 2013.

Also expected to star are other Hollywood stars like Matt Damon (42, "The Bourne Identity"), Cate Blanchett (43, "The Aviator") and Bill Murray (62, "Lost in Translation") and Daniel Craig (44, "James Bond"). The movie studio has made no comments on the project yet.

George Clooney is back in Berlin

The B.Z. met him in the morning on the way to work. A bit sleepy, but even SMS typing.

George Clooney tests Berlin Asian cuisine

George Clooney eats through Berlin chopsticks cuisine. This time he was spotted in the street Skalitzer.

At 21.30 clock disappeared from the Hollywood star who is working here until the summer film "Monuments Men," through the back door. But not to without first thanked the kitchen staff personally.

Thank you Laetval! Wonderful pics. Feel a bit guilty because it must be annoying to have people photographing you while you eat but so glad to see him looking ike himself! When he looks older or under the weather, it only accentuates the fact that I'm getting older and I don't need any more reminders! Thanks again to all for some great sleuthing and good photos.

Joanna, what was I supposed to do when a hot pilot approaches me??? Deny him the pleasure of my company?..NEVER!!! I certainly made it up to him many times over...Then repaid his kindness by having my friend P Diddy hire him!!!! It's all good.... I get free flights anywhere i want to go..until I bore of him and move on!!!! And, I had the limes..The salt was free, would have been a waste if we didn't take the opportunity to fulfill the mans fantasy that would have just been cruel!!!

Some people drink the broth first, and then eat the noodles with chopsticks. That should make it easier to eat.

I am glad to see him but he looks tired and disheveled to me. I'm not a fan of the stubble but I am impressed he eats with chopsticks. I can start out with them but get frustrated and change to a fork.

I have some ramen noodles with soup mix in my pantry. Since the soup mix is too salty for me to eat, I will boil the noodles in homemade chicken broth, and add some frozen soup vegetables to it for lunch tomorrow. Wonderful winter meal.

Chopsticks just take practice, that's all. You eat soup with a spoon and use the chopsticks to eat the stuff that's in the soup.

Think that blue background somehow looks familiar. But it was an Asian restaurant, so chopsticks, some ppl like to do. Not me. I'll stick with what works best for me. A spoon. I always love to eat the broth first while its hot.

I guess he's growing his hair to create a 1940s conventional look. Hair was usually longer in the front, parted to one side, and swept back with pomade. Like styles worn by Spencer Tracy, Humphrey Bogart & Errol Flynn. Popular with men during the Golden Years of cinema.

Or the more elaborate Pompadour which consists of a longer front that was piled and styled in a wave along the crown. But that was more Frank Sinatra's & Elvis Presley's style.

GC's hair is his best feature.
