George Clooney Takes a Break as He Gears Up For Dateline

George Clooney had another lunch meeting with his buddy Grant Heslov yesterday in LA. The actor's back on the West Coast after a trip to NYC, where he and girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis attended a dinner in support of human rights. George has devoted himself to many charitable causes lately, raising funds for autism research and meeting with President Obama about Sudan. He'll further share his political passions on Friday by taking Dateline viewers on a tour of the war-torn African country. Beyond his philanthropic efforts, George also has plenty of film projects in the works. He's teaming up with Steven Soderbergh again for a big-screen revamp of a classic TV show and planning to direct a thriller with Ryan Gosling as the star.
