Been a fan since 2000, and a devoted superfan since 2006 when he got the Oscar. This may sound crazy, but I found inspiration in that moment. I was diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease at that time, and I felt helpless, plus I was in a job I hated. I started looking for signs that would remind me that things would work out. I had known that he and I share the same birthday, and I just felt like, well if he can be successful, so can I. Then, he went from being just a great actor to one of my heroes when he went to Darfur and brought attention to a group of people desperate for some help. This act sealed the deal for me. I may only be a fan, but he will have my support as long as I am able. Since then I have faced 1 year and five months of dialysis, and I just got a kidney transplant. Thank God for my friend Felesia for giving me a kidney. I told her she was up there with Clooney in my book. I have met him once, and he was so wonderful. I was a reporter, and I got to ask him a question. For one whole minute, he talked to me. He even smiled at me for a moment. I melted, needless to say. So, here I am, a Clooniac kidney disease survivor!!!

From today´s news flow 2 things: 1) The revenues of Asia´s casinos overtake America´s this year.

Waaat? We (me and my girlfriends) have been planning a trip to LV. (we are kind of sick and tired of all the culture here in Wien, Paris, London etc.) So the hot spot to be is rather Macau than Las Vegas – travelling plans remake.

2) Wearable computers. Google has already had models show off its specs on a catwalk. Trying to make (terminator looking glasses) smart eyewear sexy. So in the blink of an eye you can read your mail, take pictures, gather data…

sounds nightmarish, but maybe I´m just old fashioned.

and have seen and bought all of his films since then.

Ipad accessories looks like a cover I had for mine. Same function. How does it work when you are lying down? Not on a table or lap. What I find useful is to get the hardware that doesn´t heat up. Costs more and you have to order it.

I had ipad, it really broke down in pieces, literally. I didn´t throw it away but tried to reboot and get it going again. Attached external keyboard to it, because it didn´t have “a window”.

It was in the living room table, wired up and I had guests. They were puzzled by what it was. I explained. A guy then warned me that one day I´m going to get electric shock.

I wasn´t done playing with it, therefore bearing in mind what he said, I had to take extreme safety measures.

Given my fear of getting deadly electric shock I had Britney Spears song “womanizer”, followed by “baby one more” time as a go-to tune. Because I am confident that it is not my destiny to die while listening those, home alone, trying to establish connection to (not the net) but the computer.

It worked. Only shock was that I failed and couldn´t bring my dear ipad to life.

Could predators be spying on you and your kids through your computer's webcam? Authorities say criminals are now able to hack in and watch your every move -- without you ever knowing it.
We all do it: We use our computer, then we get distracted with something and just walk away. You forget the computer is still on. and the criminals are counting on it. Now they can access your webcam remotely, watching your most intimate moments from the kitchen to the privacy of your own bedroom. The worst part is, you'd never even know.


Computer expert Jim Stickley of TraceSecurity showed us how easy it is. From thousands of miles away he broke into one family's laptop and turned on their webcam to view teen girls in their bedroom and in their dining room as the family ate dinner. "It took about three minutes" to hack into their system, Stickley told us.
Stickley said such families are easy targets for webcam predators -- criminals like Luis Mijangos. Prosecutors say he was spying on more than 200 women through their webcams, even blackmailing some of them. He's now serving six years in prison.
Rossen Reports: TV and furniture tipovers threaten kids
"People who are victims generally have no idea that they are victims," Stickley said.
"And suddenly, someone has naked photos of you? Or something else?" we asked.
"Suddenly you're all over the Internet," Stickley said.
So we set up an experiment using the Siegel family of New Jersey. With dad Robert's permission, we had our expert hack into their computer. How'd he do it? He sent them an innocent-looking e-card with a virus.

"They click the little link in the card and as far as they're concerned, they're going to see little quacking ducks," Stickley explained. "In reality, I've also loaded a Trojan (horse) on their computer during that time."
We told Corinne Siegel and the Siegel daughters, Chloe and Cassidy, that we were doing a general story about online security. They had no idea we were spying on them through their computer webcam. We told the girls to go upstairs. Then we let their mom in on the secret: "We actually recorded your family dinner, no one was in your house except you guys."
"It's really creepy," Corinne said. "It's absolutely creepy....my girls are in their bedroom all the time. I'm frightened for them."

So we took it up a notch, having our expert hack into the webcam in her daughter's upstairs bedroom, where they were waiting with our producer. Imagine if it had been a predator spying on your kids.
"I'm sick over it, actually," Corinne said as we watched. "I really am. It's upsetting to see this."
Then we gave the girls a wakeup call. "It's scary," Chloe said when we explained our experiment.

I started laughing when I saw this it's me - not because it's not serious but because I had heard about this and was so paranoid about it that I taped a piece of paper over the webcam on my laptop and that little piece of Bed Bath and Beyond cardboard coupon is all that a hacker is ever going to see if they hack into my computer!

Even worse though is that I read that a DVR company (can't think of which right now) is developing a DVR that will have a camera to watch YOU while you're in your home. It will see EVERYTHING and then target commercials to your activities!

Sitting with a cold? The some cold remedy ad will come on the TV. Getting frisky with your significant other then perhaps a Viagra or condom commercial will come on.

I don't know about all of you but if that happens, I'll give up TV and just stick to DVD movies!!

Speaking of online security - watched a program yesterday about this. Basically the expert said that social media sites (ie facebook etc ) and especially Google have trackers (not sure if that is the right description) on their sites, so that when you go from facebook to another website, the system knows what you have been searching. Same applies to anything you search using Google search engine. Your information is then sold to the highest bidder(s) and advertisements are tailored accordingly. I had a tech person working on my PC and in a few strokes of the keyboard he showed me every password I use online - even for him, it was way too easy to find, so he played around with the security settings and installed something - spooky.

Also, in our state (in Aus) there have been a lot of robberies and the thieves are using instagram to locate their goods. Apparently there are 2 known websites that can show you where the photograph using Instagram was taken, very approximate location. Dubious people are going on these websites and searching Plasma TV's or jewellery for example and they are then rewarded with a location/street address/number of property where the photo was taken. The article in the paper showed 5 people who had their Christmas presents stolen, computers, rings, TV's. Police have no doubt thieves are now going high tech. Now that's scary. Apparently you need to disable geo tagging in Instagram so that your location of the photograph is not tagged. Never knew this was happening, so had my nephew fix my phone. I was more alarmed that these photos could be used for more than just robbing goods. I saw plenty photos of children, snapped in their backyards, out the front of their house etc and now this program can show you where these children live, that's not good information in the wrong persons' hands. Just thought I'd share as none of my friends or family knew that you could be tracked in such detail simply from a photograph you have taken using your smartphone, IPOD.

Its very easy to do - I was playing around with my security settings and I somehow displayed all our passwords. When the tech guy came over to fix our graphics card in old PC, I mentioned it to him and he located them straight away, then went and disabled the information.

I saw plenty photos of children, snapped in their backyards, out the front of their house etc and now this program can show you where these children live, that's not good information in the wrong persons' hands. Just thought I'd share as none of my friends or family knew that you could be tracked in such detail simply from a photograph you have taken using your smartphone, IPOD.

On my iPad I sometimes i get a pop up saying Google wants the location and I click on cancel.
