I got an email notice about a screening of Argo this past Tuesday night but I was out of state that day so I missed it. These viewings and Q&A panels afterward are pretty interesting. Tuesday's only noted Ben being there for the Q&A. Didn't see any info about George being there. So I guess they had two this week.

Thanks laetval for the videos. It does seem a little strange to see a lineup of actors with George saying so little because he usually commandeers the conversations. But this is about Ben and the film and not so much about George the producer.

I'll bet he was grateful not to be the center of attention for a change. LOL

I'm definitely NOT in the biz, however, when they have these special screenings, I believe it's a build-up to the people in the Academy. It's their way of pushing the film to the powers that be, in hopes of a nomination.

And then everyone gets disappointed when the really big boys reel them in i e the Weinstein Company. He seems particularly good at it with timing etc

I think the Academy Awards is a political thing and ruled by the powers that be, not by actual voting. I'm remembering the upset at the last Award presentation. Harvey Weinstein rules.
