Oh fuck me. "Like Sean Penn and Jane Fonda, George Clooney inspires reverence from liberal America..."
The only thing I think about when I hear Sean Penn's name is "wife beating a s s h o l e!"

George Clooney: Man of Style & Substance
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
In mid-April of this year, George Clooney called casino magnate Steve Wynn an “asshole”. The fight started during dinner when Wynn, eponymous owner of Vegas-based Wynn Resorts, made the mistake of using that same word to describe President Obama.
“I said that the president was my long-time friend,” recalled Clooney, “and then he said, ‘Your friend is an asshole.’ At that point I told Steve that he was an asshole and that I wasn’t going to sit at his table while he was being such a jackass. And I walked out. There were obviously quite a few more adjectives and adverbs used by both of us as I left. Those are all the facts.”
As Vegas feuds go, it wasn’t exactly 2Pac v the East Coast rappers. But Wynn’s boorish behaviour touched a nerve with Clooney, and not just because he’s been a friend of Obama’s since before he was POTUS. “It had nothing to do with politics,” said Clooney, “and everything to do with character.”
Clooney is big on character – and for standing up for what he believes to be right, whether it’s to do with genocide in Darfur or taking on director David O Russell for screaming at underlings. It’s something Clooney attributes, in part, to his upbringing.
His father, Nick Clooney, was a Cincinnati-area television anchorman, one-time Democratic nominee and staunch Catholic moralist who, in his son’s words, “stood for everything that was right”.
Nick taught the Clooney kids (George and his sister, Adelia) to never be shy about their opinions and encouraged them to care about the big issues. It’s a quality of Clooney’s that people love and loathe in equal measure.
Like Sean Penn or Jane Fonda, George Clooney inspires reverence in the hearts of liberal America and foaming hatred from conservatives.
Clooney denies he wants to be seen as the “issues actor” but whether it’s the invasion of Iraq, gun control or Obamacare, he always seems to be there on the sidelines, ready to offer his two cents.
Unlike Penn or Fonda, however, Clooney the Activist has never quite managed to upstage Clooney the Movie Star.
Partially this is because the 53-year-old has (especially unlike Penn) a good sense of humour, as much about himself as anything else, and also because he’s someone for whom appearances matter, shamelessly.

Thanks for posting the full article. I now refuse to do it when I just see a link cause I figure if you can find the link and post it you can figure out how to post the full article.

Lorna....I believe pan posts from her phone, which is difficult to copy from.
It's tricky sometimes on my iPad if its a long article,
as I keep losing it on the screen.
(I'm not being rude, but you don't seem like your usual cheerful self today ?).

I think the article above was only part of it. By the end of the article it sounded like there is more in the magazine

Guess I was supposed to do something to increase the resolution. Like I said not good at the taking pictures of scan part but at least I gave it a try. Thanks for posting and checking on better quality cause I just realized these are taken from scans and even when I zoomed in on the site where they are located they were difficult to read.

No problems I tried playing around with them but it became too blurry, will see what happens when I scan from home. Thanks

Thanks for posting, this version was easier to read. It was a nice read. I agree with him about "positive attitude" in life

Re: GQ Australia Mangazine June 2014
In the article they mentioned Jane Fonda and Sean Penn. I'm aware of Sean Penn's attitude. Glad George is not like that. Nice in the article that they point that out how important characters are
But I never came across that Jane Fonda is like Sean Penn. Never heard much over here.
Or did I misunderstood the whole part?
