Daily Mail: Naked frolics? They're just a Royal tradition (GC Mention)

Saw this article with a GC mention --- plus it is about Prince Harry who may just have to deal with being embarrassed but in my opinion this is not the end of the world....

Naked frolics? They're just a Royal tradition

I feel sorry for Prince Harry. I appreciate this may sound like those people who say they’re sorry for George Clooney because with his shallow movie-star lifestyle and his endless stream of beautiful young women he will never know real happiness, but it’s true.
Aside from the fact that Harry’s probably done more for the popularity of the Monarchy this week than an Olympic-themed Royal Wedding, it seems unfair to criticise a young, handsome, off-duty serviceman for doing what most men in a similar position would cut off their right arm to do, given half a chance.
He’s just continuing a centuries-long Royal tradition of high-jinks. From toe-sucking to cavorting with soft-porn stars, our Royal line is littered with members of the Monarchy getting up to mischief.

Prince Harry frolics around in Las Vegas wearing a 'Let's Go Wild' singlet which he borrowed off a female partygoer
Fortunately for them, though, few of their escapades went beyond the realm of reportage and rumour. Unfortunately for him, Harry lives in the age of the cameraphone.
These days no moment is complete without some eejit whipping their phone from their pocket and snapping it.
If it’s not tagged on Facebook, or broadcast as a Twitpic, it hasn’t happened. And as Harry has discovered to his cost, this applies increasingly to the most intimate of moments.

(there is more but can't seem to copy...)

Hahaha! I'm in two minds about the whole Harry thing. While, yes, he has let down the name and reputation of the royal family, I just don't think he's done anything bad. Stupid maybe but not bad. It's not like he's not doing something most other men wouldn't do if they had the chance, (Sorry for all those double negatives - hope that last sentence makes sense).

I wouldn't equate it to feeling sorry for George though. I guess it's because I don't feel particularly sorry for George. He has a good life and - one of the reasons I like him the most - he knows it. There are downsides to being famous but George handles them well. As does Harry, from the look of things!

He's just dumb, young and too trusting of the people he thought were friends. Live and learn.

He's a young, rich, single man in the Army and if other similar young men had the same amount of money and time off he has...they'd do the same..I'm sure Charles had a fine time when he was younger all in the privacy of stately homes.

It was stupid of him to not realise that if he invites strange girlies to his room who are quite happy to strip off all their clothes then those same girlies would have no hesitation in taking the opportunity to make money/get attention from the situation. One is supposedly making a deal for 'the whole story/photies' for $1million.

He probably trusted his security people/police (who cost us here in the UK £millions from our tax to provide his security) to have done their job in protecting his privacy.

Personally I don't care what they (the Royals) do it just irritates me that I have to pay for it! Fair enough when they are 'working' but not when they are on holiday. IMO

Charles certainly did have a fine time of it. As did princess Margaret by all accounts.

It does make me laugh the way people act so shocked at Harry's behaviour. He comes from a family with a long line of misbehaviour. 500-odd years ago his ancestor beheaded two wives, broke with the catholic church, pulled apart all monasteries and more or less founded his own religion. Died of syphilis having bedded most of the attractive women at court.

Kind of puts Harry's antics in the shade, doesn't it?
