Will George's hair ever be 'Giseled'?

From Boston Herald

Heaven forbid George does this to his hair. Ever.

Boston barbers don’t find Tom Brady’s locks a cut above
By Colneth Smiley Jr.

Buzz up!If Tom Brady is head and shoulders above the rest, his hair may be the crowning glory. But that’s not something local barbers cheer about. Some young fans are going longer and longer between haircuts, in imitation of the No. 1 Patriot.

“Lately we’re seeing more guys with girlfriends telling them to grow their hair long like Brady,” said South End barber Albert DeSisto, who cuts an average of 15 heads a day at Barbershop Deluxe on Columbus Avenue.“We tell them that you’ve been ‘Giseled,’ ” DeSisto told the Herald. “It’s all in good fun. It’s a change in style for these young guys.”

Karen Belair, master barber at Barbershop Lounge on Newbury Street, has nothing good to say about Brady’s long locks.

“Personally, I think he needs a haircut,” said Belair, who caters mostly to business clientele favoring the follicle fashions of David Beckham, Brad Pitt and George Clooney.

“It’s a silly thing,” Belair said of Brady’s mop. “It’s popular with the boys in junior high, high school and college and more of a retro look from the ’70s. I’ve seen all these styles come and go and come back again. But I much prefer the cleaner cut.”

Troy Aiguier, owner of Troy Anthony’s Barber Shop in Cambridge’s Inman Square, believes the style is popular because clients are saving money and getting cuts farther apart.

“I’m banking that people want to cut their hair, but some are just hurting in their pockets,” said Aiguier.

I liked George's longer hair years ago, but at his age and with the gray being a little more, ummmm, predominant, I think he should keep it trimmed up. Not saying I liked the prison cut, but it's not bad right now.

his hair was long in Men Who Stare at Goats, and I thought he was adorable there. But I liked it best at the Oscars when it was a tad bit longer than collar length.
