George Clooney afraid of commitment — or simply not interested in marriage to Elisabetta Canalis? Is the Hollywood celebrity more afraid of marriage or divorce?

George Clooney, American Golden Globe and Oscar winning actor, made an appearance on the show ‘Piers Morgan tonight’ with his father Nick Clooney, host on The Good Life TV Network. Of course, everyone is always curious to know what the good-looking actor will do next, will he marry his girlfriend Italian actress, Elisatbetta Canalis, of the hit television series Leverage, or will he continue enjoying his life as a bachelor? George Clooney married once before to Talia Balsam, appears to be adamant about not getting married again. He stated in an interview discussed on gossipolice.com:

“I hate to blow your whole news story, but I was married, so I gave it a shot… I’ve proven how good I was at it.”

From this quote, it appears that George Clooney has given up on the idea of getting married again and that young bikini swimsuit model Elisabetta Canalis has not been able to entice him into changing his mind. Marriage and children does not seem to be on George Clooney’s relationships ‘to-do’ list, and quite frankly, to not enter into a legally binding contract for marriage with the percentage of divorce in Hollywood may simply him being prudent about protecting his heart and multi-millionaire fortune.

A fool and hos money are soon parted and George Clooney is no fool. While he may quip it is about him being a bad husband, there may be a deeper root to his commitment to avoid… commitment.

On this point we can say is that Baby Boomer George Clooney, while against marriage, is definitely for helping others through his charity work. He is not simply being greedy or stingy and trying to keep his money for himself. It looks like he simply has made a conscious decision about wanting control of where the money he gives away is going — which he would not be able to do if a woman divorced him again and took 50% of the marital earnings out of his future retirement money stashed.

George Clooney is not inclined to get married at this time. He has not been inclined to get married and has avoided doing so with most of his lady friends for a very long time. He is seemingly enjoying his life as a successful single actor and continues to appear in public despite a plethora of gay rumors. He does not even seems inclined to get married with a pre-nuptual agreement.

While George Clooney may not be interested in getting married at this time he sure is dedicated to making a different in the lives of people across the globe — and for that, we applaud his commitment to being a good human rather than a Mr. to a Hollywood Mrs. who could end up scrapping it out in front of the general public in a divorce proceeding.

Will George Clooney eventually pop the question to girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis? Or will he continuing saving the world as a bachelor?
