Fifty shades of silver fox: Blog celebrating stylish middle-aged men takes internet by storm
By Daily Mail Reporter

Move over Harry Styles, it seems the older man is fighting back!

A new site which celebrates the allure of middle-aged men has become a huge hit online, with users flocking to the aptly titled greyfoxblog.com to pay homage to the likes of George Clooney , Barack Obama and Jose Mourinho.

The blog, which now has over 50,000 visitors, serves as an online guide to men on how to grow older with grace and style and showcases those who appear to do so effortlessly.

Salt and pepper: Stylish older men like US President Barack Obama, 50, Hollywood actor George Clooney, 51, and Mad Men star Jon Hamm, 41, are regularly featured on greyfoxblog.com

Recent posts include articles on Prince Charles, musician Paul Weller and cyclist Bradley Wiggins

Greyfoxblog.com’s founder is solicitor-turned-teacher David Evans, 57, who admits to struggling with his image over the years.

‘I reached that age where I was constantly wondering what I could wear,’ he said during an interview with The Sunday Times magazine.

‘Fashionable menswear seems to be geared towards a younger crowd. I was veering towards the grey-Velcro-strap-shoe stage and it was a bit miserable.’

Evans started the blog as a way of documenting his own image crisis and to develop an online community for older men who want to remain fashionable.

He says he hopes that men like himself will use it to ‘share influences without being too proscriptive, discuss the transition from winter tweeds and brogues into linen jackets and lighter weights .’

Practically on first name terms with Mr Clooney
