Spelling is "Bobbsey" twins..... I'm probably the only one on here old enough to know that ;-). Two fraternal sets of twins: bert and nan(?). Younger ones were ????? CRS.

Well, looks like I was right. Ten days and no "twit." Stacy has probably been put on a mandatory "twit" moratorium and Torrie is her designated "pinch twitter." Since they have many of the same followers, her Como story can still be told. Well, played, Stacy, well played.

Exactly. Identical twins can be the same sex, but Bobbsey twins are fraternal, both sets. I speculate (heh) that Torrie is referring to herself and Stacy as identical twins, and used Bobbsy twins to say that they are often together and look alike. I was just being nit-picky/snarky. Sorry.

Just speculating, but I think he is one of those nice guys that thinks he can fix the trainwrecks, meanwhile, they are screwing him over right and left. Again, just speculating.

I'm not disagreeing that there's an element of Henry Higgins to Mr. Clooney, but at the end of the day, he's attracted to whores......period. He likes 'em slutty. Yep, he attempts to clean 'em up, but in all reality, it's their willingness to get down and get dirty that IMO keeps him 'comin' back for more.

He's quoted as saying, regarding Muslims and their eternal reward of matrying themselves, that he (George) would rather have eight pros than seventy virgins. Pretty telling statement, IMO.

Thanks for posting the video. Believe it or not, this is the very first time I got to see SK's acting ability, or lack thereof. It seems almost like a spoof of a very bad porno. She's reciting her lines, rather than connecting with what she's saying. I don't believe her at all. If she truly felt sexy, and wanted to communicate that to her audience, her body language would be totally different. Worse she's not responding to what her "acting partner" is saying. And supposedly these two girls are friends? If as is normal, she would be paired with a stranger, SK shows no ability to listen and respond; basic acting skills.

I've dated many men like G. They all seem to have an old-fashioned madonna/lady of negotiable affection dichotomy. Maybe it's because they come from a conservative, religious background. Or it's the assumption that only "certain girls" are sexually wild. I've had a good friend tell me once that he'd love to try a 3-some but not with his wife. He couldn't even suggest it to the mother of his kids. Just as before "Deep Throat" made it popular, men often went to hookers for anything non-vanilla.

Oh boy, this could take a while. I will be brief. For him to deny there was even a relationship with Krista(even though you can google it) she must have hurt him.

And for the record, I would prefer a pro over a virgin anyday. Virgins are high maintenance!

I don't think its just a male thing that they want a sexual partner who knows what they are doing and is not afraid to experiment. I think women want that too. Just because stacy shakes her ass in the wrestling ring doesn't actually mean that she knows what she is doing in the bedroom. A lot of the time you'll find that women who flaunt themselves a lot have very low self esteem and don't feel comfortable with sexuality. I would be highly shocked if there is anything earth shattering going on in the bedroom with george and stacy. The chemistry just isn't there for it to be mind blowing. IMO.

I'd SO like to think of him as tender and emotionally open, but my higher instincts tell me he's not allowing himself to expose his delicate underbelly, so to speak. I agree Lakin and I think this is why he chooses women that he won't have a deep connection with, it prevents him from getting hurt.

You know, sweetheart, I agree. While I think George has been guarded for years, I still believe he was somewhat emotionally invested in Elisabetta and the lightening rebound with Stacy supports that theory, in my mind. Why not a period of solitude? Sure, you can explain it that he needed an 'escort' for awards season, but I don't fully buy it. It seems too transparent the quick transition. And that would also go to explaining the lack of chemistry between he and Stacy....she was his rebound girl. Nothing more. No real emotional investment.

I feel that G is very generous and Southern Gentlemen can easily be hurt by women who are at all manipulative. I won't throw stones at any one in particular, as I wasn't there. Once burned, twice shy. I've known very wealthy men that were reluctant to date girls, because their friends were "taken to the cleaners" in the divorce settlement. Others complain that ladies start out acting a certain way, in and out of bed, and then gradually, radically change.

It's so sad that a few rotten women spoil it for those of us who are not.

And it's amazing how poor, innocent, naive, easily manipulated, emotionally-vulnerable George has managed to pick a rotten apple every time for the past 10 years. I mean, wow, how's that for bad luck?

Sorry folks, George picks the women he's with because he wants to be with them. No more to it than that.

The man is 51 years old and lived in (relatively) moral-free Hollywood for 30 years. We can safely say he's seen it all. When it comes to women, he's not stupid.

He's dated two porn stars (Ginger and Krista), at least one stripper (Sarah Talley) and a heap of lingerie models, "cocktail waitresses" and other women on the edge of what many posters here would consider respectability.

Is he deliberately choosing women he can't love in order to protect his delicate sensibility? Personally I don't think so, but it's a theory.

IMO the last time he looked consistently happy with a girlfriend was with Celine and they broke up about 13 years ago now. That seems like an awfully long time to subject yourself to unpleasant company but yeah, people do weird things.

Katie, I agree with you 100%. No more, no less . He chooses these women, not because of his "delicate sensibilities", but because he likes these women. He 's not going to change or help them. That's what he likes. He's talented in so many ways, just not this way.

I've known men who were rejected as a young teen and NEVER got over it, ever. I've also known men who spend years dating girls everyone else thinks is complete inappropriate for them. I've seen men marry women that no matchmaker would ever select for them. There are many romances and relationships in Hollywood that only make sense for the people in them. But there is an abundance of manipulative women as well; luckily G like Eins Clooney is fixed.

I don't entirely disagree Davida. As I said it's a theory and not one we could ever prove or disprove.

What I do disagree with is the picture that's sometimes painted of George as a pathetic loser, so stupidly manipulated by all these wicked women he inadvertently dates all the time.

He's no saint and he's certainly not innocent. He's had to deal with women wanting to date him for the wrong reasons since he was in high school (either as the son of Nick Clooney or because he was good at sports) so his eyes are very open to golddiggers and the like.

I know it's fun and oh so easy to gleefully rip apart a woman while excusing the man of any wrongdoing. I'm saying I don't think it's nearly as simple as that. If the women he dates aren't the cream of humanity then what does that say about the man who dates them?

I've never ever called G a pathetic loser or stupid. By comparison, I've known drop-dead gorgeous men, some of whom are professional models. They are still very affected by childhood insecurity. Many came from economically unstable backgrounds, and felt that they just "didn't fit in". Others had parents who couldn't relate to their very sensitive or artistic sons, or were just too involved in their own careers. Some were rejected or just teased by girls. Remember the self-made billionaire I once discussed? He had a PHD from Harvard, and was featured in Playgirl. Although still in his early 30's when we first hooked up, he was one of the most insecure men I've ever met. And he was in a "traditional profession." The entire acting and performing world breeds insecurity, no matter your level of success.

I agree with Katie. I just don't picture G as the grieving romantic. I think he learned from his failed marriage that lasting relationships take work. He loves his career and IMO doesn't want to put the time and effort into a relationship. At least not yet. Again IMO his time with E ended long before the official break-up. She has been portrayed as a diva, very demanding, etc. SK was with them in Cabo and IMO he took notice of her and things began to heat up. It seems he likes the ladies, likes them a little bit "naughty", and wants what he wants when he wants it.

I really don't believe that George would be so disrespectful to start something with Stacy when in Cabo with Eli and her parents. Stacy wasn't with them in Cabo she just happened to be there at the same time. Since George and Stacy have supposedly been friends for years there has been plenty of time when he has been single to hook up with her if he was that interested so doesn't make sense he would do it while with someone else. IMO he needed an escort for the award ceremonies and as a friend Stacy agreed knowing that it would give her some free press and somewhere along the way they ended up hooking up. Stacy is the rebound girl and these relationships very rarely end up going the distance.

Well, IMVHO, if George and his chicks are happy with the lifestyle, then so be it. Whatever makes them happy

Technically no because she wasn't single until late that year. The Cabo holiday would have been her first as a singleton following the break up of her 5 year relationship with whatsisface.

I agree with you that it's unlikely he'd have hooked up with Stacy right when Elisabetta and her family were there too but there have been, let's call them 'overlaps', in George's dating history before so it's not unknown.

BTW, seeing as this discussion has absolutely nothing to do with Torrie's arrival in Como, can anyone suggest a better title for this thread?
