Re: The Man and The Book
Pretend you are the book. You are gazed upon by warm liquid eyes and long, feathery lashes; your pages lovingly turned with fingers moistened by soft, whiskey flavored lips. He holds you gently as you stroll through the garden, nestled in his arms, your cover slightly askew, fluttering in the warm afternoon breeze. Imagine him napping with you sprawled across his chest; his hands carefully caressing your spine - open, inviting - as he thoughtfully absorbs your every word...yes please. I would like to be George's book.
I really need to get out more...

Re: The Man and The Book
Aren't these great?! I'm happy to be able to share these little gems. Antonin Kratochvil's photographs are amazing. I wonder how he and George ended up doing this little shoot? They were taken while G was filming "The Good German."
As for my future romance novel career...if George will provide the inspiration, I'll provide the bodice ripping.
Proof that G really *is* that good! LOL

So do we know what the title of the book is? Does the pic of the open book laying on G's parking spot give any clues? I don't recognize the woman.

Re: The Man and The Book
Yes, there was information about the shoot and the book a couple of years ago. Having a blank on it right now. The author of the book had writted an inscription to George which is what he's reading on the inside cover in one of the photos.
Maybe this shoot was taken by Vogue or Vanity Fair?
Does this jog anyone's memories?

Yeah, right??? It is similar to that two time winner "Sexiest Man Alive" fairytale. I am pretty skeptical about all this sensationalism. I'll believe it when I see it!!

Re: The Man and The Book
He definitely made fun of women's romance books, making up a couple of sentences on the spot in an interview some years ago.hmh1108 wrote:janieb wrote:Maybe he was reading an early version of "50 Shades of Gray"...... ....he he he he he he he!!!

Re: The Man and The Book
Wow, somehow, I've just seen these piccies. Really cool.
I wish someone would do a book on George other than an unauthorized biography or picture book. Thee best so Far Has been Inside the American and George Cloonet the Illustrated Boigraphy.
Would be cool to get together a gallery of the magazine shoots etc.
I'm interested mainly in what he wears, so would be looking from a fashion and movie Icon angle by the way

Apparently, 50 Shades of Grey is not on George's priority book reading list. Go figure???...there are even higher priorities!!
