Wrestling is very big here in the US. I don't watch it - find it stupid - but there is a huge following for it.
Stacy was recognizable for her participation and I'm sure had her own cadre of fans - so depending on where she was appearing - for instance perhaps at some wrestling fan based event - seeing her get a $10,000 appearance fee probably makes sense.
