Yes I know and that's a pain.....I read it in the 70's, all in one sitting and was amazed
that I "got it" then !

I really want to read it again now to recap that experience, but have got

I've got a friend who has been telling me to read 50 Shades of Grey but I've just have too many other books in the pipeline to get to that one. Plus I'm just not sure if I want to read anything with S&M in it. I realize some people are into that but I just find it so opposite of what I think sex should entail that it doesn't seem to interest me too much.

LD, S&M is really not covered much, just some rough sex with plenty of descriptive prose. I'm not an S&M person either, but there's really so little of it that takes place.

My son, daughter-in-law and grandson came over Saturday and I had a wonderful time. They brought me plants for my garden and my daughter-in-law and grandson planted them. My son made us dinner, brought everything with them and he did it all. Had a delicious dinner, tomato & mozzerella & basil appetizer, grilled vegetables, grilled salmon and potato salad. He even made me margaritas. Ice cream sundae for dessert. How's that for starters for Mothers Day.

Pattygirl sounds wonderful, it's so nice to not have to cook for others on Mothers Day. My kids are taking me to brunch at The Cheesecake Factory, never been but I'm planning to enjoy all.

A mother had 3 virgin daughters.

They were all getting married within a short time period.
Because Mom was a bit worried about how their sex life would get started, she made them all promise to send a postcard from the honeymoon with a few words on how marital sex felt.

The first girl sent a card from Hawaii two days after the wedding. The card said nothing but “Maxwell House”.
Mom was puzzled at first, but then went to the kitchen
and got out the Maxwell House jar.
It said, “good ‘till the last drop”.
Mom blushed, but was pleased for her daughter.

The second girl sent the card from Vermont a week after
the wedding, and the card read:
“Benson & Hedges”.
Mom now knew to go straight to her husband’s cigarettes,
she read from the B & H pack:
“Extra Long. King Size”.
She was again slightly embarrassed, but still happy
for her daughter.

The third girl left for her honeymoon in the Caribbean.
Mom waited for a week nothing.
Another week went by and still nothing.
Then, after a whole month, a card finally arrived.
Written on it shaky words: “British Airways”.

Mom took out her latest Harper Bazaar magazine,
flipped through the pages, fearing the worst and finally
found the ad for the airline.

The ad said: "Three times a day, seven days a week,
both ways”.

Mom fainted.

A couple, both age 78, went to a sex therapist's office.
The doctor asked, "What can I do for you?"

The man said, "Will you watch us have sexual intercourse?"
The doctor looked puzzled, but agreed.

When the couple finished, the doctor said,
"There's nothing wrong with the way you
have intercourse," and charged them £50.

This happened several weeks in a row.
The couple would make an appointment, have intercourse
with no problems, pay the doctor, then leave.

Finally the doctor asked, "Just exactly what are you
trying to find out?"

The old man said, "We're not trying to find out anything.
She's married and we can't go to her house.
I'm married and we can't go to my house.

The Holiday Inn charges £90.
The Hilton charges £108.
We do it here for £50.....
and I get £43 back from BUPA."

Husband: Oh, come on.

Wife: Leave me alone!

Husband: It won't take long.

Wife: I won't be able to sleep afterwards.

Husband: I can't sleep without it.

Wife: Why do you think of things like this in the middle of the night?

Husband: Because I'm Hot.

Wife: You get hot at the darnedest times.

Husband: If you love me I wouldn't have to beg you.

Wife: If you love me you'd be more considerate.

Husband: You don't love me anymore.

Wife: Yes I do, but let's forget it for tonight.

Husband: Please...come on

Wife: Alright, I'll do it.

Husband: What's the matter? Need a flashlight?

Wife: I can't find it.

Husband: Oh, for heaven's sake, feel for it!

Had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend, eating at Mallorca in Cleveland (Portugese restaurant) and seeing Jim Gaffigan live in Playhouse Square.

The main male character is Christian Grey and although he is only 28 in the book, he was GTC in my vision.
There has been talk of making it into a film, but I think that even in these very decadent times, there is not way to do it justice, it is just too, too erotic, dirty and sexual. Even porn is not this good. It really is lipsmacking good. Totally a sex feast. I want to go back and read it again. Maybe I will, more slowly this time, savor it more. Kinda glad there's no man in my life, don't know how one could equal CG.

I've been MIA. I'm just getting back to normal (whatever that is). The kiddo had a stomach bug late last week then I had a head cold over the weekend. Everyone is better now and I've been busy with end of school year field trips. We are going on another one tomorrow. God help me, I don't have the patience for all those kids. lol

I watched a little bit of it. I'm getting excited now for the Belmont. Would be nice to have a Triple Crown winner since its been so long. It's the longest and most difficult of the three races though.

Wow, it's been 34 years since the last triple crown winner....gee, didn't know it was that long ago...Affirmed won it in 1978. Before that, Seatle Slew in '77. Little trivia for horse lovers.

I knew it had been a while. It seems like the horse industry has gone the same way as everything else, quantity ($$$) over quality. They just don't make 'em like they used too.
