George Clooney denies he finds Angelina Jolie "boring and mean"

This is one of those 'when did you stop beating your wife' accusations, but there you go. It seems US Weekly really has it against him.

George Clooney is refuting a report, slated for Wednesday’s Us Weekly, that claims he “doesn’t like” Angelina Jolie.

In an e-mail obtained by Gossip Cop, the magazine reveals that it’s planning to run an item suggesting that the Golden Globe winner thinks Jolie is “boring and not great company” and “can be mean to people.”

The story is slated to contend that Clooney allegedly “prefers to spend time alone” with Jolie’s partner, Brad Pitt.

Clooney’s response to the reporting is succinct.

“You will be making up a story from whole cloth with not one word of truth in it,” he tells Us Weekly.

The publication has been wrong about Clooney in the past, and it looks like the actor is growing weary of the magazine writing about him.

George Clooney finds the endless rumors about him ridiculous, but is glad Gossip Cop is around.

Backstage at the Golden Globes on Sunday, we asked the Best Actor winner about the absurdities of the celebrity rumor mill.

“It’s really sort of every day now,” said Clooney of the baseless gossip.

He added, “There’s so much of it now that is just made up out of whole cloth… By the time you wake up there will be 3,500 related articles who will say who knows what.”

“It is always sort of insanity,” continued Clooney, lamenting, “I used to think there would be some element of truth to it, but not so much anymore.”

The A-lister appreciates what Gossip Cop is doing.

“You have a wonderful site, because you actually are trying to find the truth,” said Clooney.

I find it funny how quickly George denies some rumors and ignores others. I believe his quick denial could be because Angelina is part of a 'power couple' and he doesn't want to make waves. Although personally I don't think there's too much love lost between G and A. IMO

Remember a while back when one of the rags stated that Angelina HATES George because he's a bad influence on Brad? That's probably how this current story got started.

I think it's probably true George could be a little scared of Angelina he can't charm her. She is a strong woman, talented and beautiful. I think in part because of his partying and the girls he chooses to hang with she is wary off him. I don't think she has any worried Brad seems madly in love with her still. Angie isn't a people person she likes kids but doesn't come across or try to as a warm and fuzzy person and I think she would have no problems calling George out on his crap. Anyone can mock up an email and clearly George can prove he didn't do it. I thought the mags loved George maybe they are irked that People keep getting all the exclusives.

Even if the mags love George, they're always gunning for Angie and Brad and constantly making up stories about them. It doesn't bother them to put someone else in the mix to juice it up more. Of course, this year, with George & Brad vieing for Best Actor, makes more fodder for the grist mill. Ho, hum, just another boring and mean spirited item to sell their rags.

I think if George, Stacy Brad and Angie and all the little Brangelinas are going to go on vacation together he better clear this mess up. I would love to be a bug on the wall and hear a conversation between Angie and Stacy on vacation. They could talk about world hunger or the pros and cons of potty training, acting roles they have had or the benefit of a good cleanse. LOL

This is very interesting because last night i couldn't sleep and watched some of the Globe coverage and when george was making an acceptance speech they showed brad and angie. Angie looked pissed LOL

Don't believe it! Considering all they try to do to aid others, I would think George and Angie wouldn't lack for conversation. IMO nothing is wrong with George enjoying Brad's company more without Angie there. Truthfully there are many times I enjoy the company of my women friends better when my husband isn't around,

I've always gotten the feeling that, like others here have said, George and Angie are probably friends, but I think she intimidates him, and doesn't fall for his charms.

I thought it was really interesting that, after being stated a few times that the four of them (G, SCC, B and A) all flew in together, that we didn't have SCC tweeting "OMG! Hiiii Angieeee!!! New BFFS FOREVER!! Can't wait to see you at the Globes!!" Like she has with all the other celebs she's met. She probably knows Angie would hunt her down. Wouldn't you have loved to have been a fly in that plane. Can only imagine the vapid looks Angie was throwing at SCC....if she even bothered to acknoledge her at all.....

Don't know much about Angie so I could be wrong, but saw her and the cast of blood and honey on Anderson Cooper and I got a completely different impression of her. Not mean, or a cold ice queen, but a very kind, sympathetic, down to earth person, Doesn't seem like a woman who kisses ass, or would get along with SK personality, but I have a slanted opinion of SK.

I'm not an AJ fan particularly although I could see George not liking her because she's a strong woman who wouldn't be a pushover. I think he likes his women a lot more docile.
