Matt Damon talks about George Clooney

When too much of Matt is never enough
Helen Barlow, The West Australian
January 5, 2012
Even if we think we've had too much of Matt Damon in five movies in the past 12 months, his services were sorely needed for two heart-warming Christmas offerings.
In regards to We Bought a Zoo, the Hollywood Reporter review aptly notes: "Cameron Crowe's film has some rough edges but it ultimately delivers thanks to Matt Damon's moving performance."
Then Damon and Brad Pitt provide much-needed comic relief to Happy Feet Two with their double act as Will the Krill and Bill the Krill. As in their Oceans movies, Pitt is the bossy one with lots of drive while Damon's Bill is more the nerdy follower.
"Brad really went for it," Damon recalls of their time voicing the comic crustaceans. "He was fearless and that was contagious. It was kind of about how I'm going to stick with my friend when he leaves the swarm, even if it's a bit crazy."
You can almost hear the actors' real-life friendship in the krill banter. "It was good to catch up with Brad," Damon says. "I haven't seen those (Oceans) guys a lot recently. Unfortunately that's the nature of the business - you can have repeat business with directors but it's very hard with actors. We saw George (Clooney) last summer when he had us out to Lake Como and the summer before he had us out there too with all the kids. He's a very generous friend but we don't see a lot of him."
Damon, who earlier this year played a politician and presidential hopeful in The Adjustment Bureau as Clooney now does in The Ides of March, is very politically motivated. He was the founder of H2O Africa Foundation and, along with Clooney, Pitt, Don Cheadle, and Jerry Weintraub, and was one of the founders of Not On Our Watch, a humanitarian organisation focusing on Darfur.

Matt has really been speaking out against President Obama lately. I wondered how well George was going to handle that.

IMO a Good friendship can overcome mere politics, which is not important on a personal level.

Thanks for the vids, JO. (funny)
The second one always makes me laugh.
... "and the tie is long enough" really, George, and for what?
