December 27, 2011

Lady Gaga topped the list of the most charitable celebs of the year 2011. This is the second consecutive year that Lady Gaga topped the list. While Justin Bieber bagged the second spot, it was George Clooney who was listed in the third spot of the annual Top 20 Celebs Gone Good. The list was compiled by the teen-focused volunteer organization DoSomething.org.

According to the annual Celebs Done Good list, Lady Gaga topped the list of charitable celebs. The singer is well known for the services she has done in the past for HIV patients. Lady Gaga has also actively worked for gay rights. However, in the year 2011, Lady Gaga turned her attention to putting an end to bullying, even bringing her fight to the White House. She also set up the Born This Way Foundation, to help empower youth.

Justin Bieber, who occupied the 10th spot last year fought his way to the second spot this year, thanks to his works with Pencils of Promise, an organisation that has built 41 schools in Laos, Nicaragua and Guatemala. Apart from that, Justin Bieber has also donated a huge sum to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Toronto's Daily Bread Food Bank and Children's Wish Foundation, and Whitney Elementary School in Las Vegas.

George Clooney occupied the third spot for continuing on with fighting for the victims of the political turmoil in the Sudan. He has been working on this for the past six years. Will and Jada Smith, Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Ellen DeGeneres, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Dwight Howard, and Demi Lovato.

Justin Beiber really??? I didn't realise he was doing so much for others. It's a good example for young kids that follow him. George is good and seems to have always done good works.
